Is the 2026 BMW 8 Series reliable?

The 2026 BMW 8 Series is presented as a polished, high-tech luxury grand tourer with strong performance and a comfortable but sporty ride. Its broad powertrain lineup and mild-hybrid support suggest a modern, well-equipped package aimed at buyers who want refinement and capability in one car.

The main ownership cautions are the familiar ones for this class: expensive options, high depreciation, and a poor turning circle. For a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is more about cost exposure and value loss than basic usability.
