New & Used 2026 Audi A5 for Sale near New Jersey

Is the 2026 Audi A5 a good car?

The 2026 Audi A5 is a stylish luxury car that now plays a broader role than earlier versions of the nameplate. It is offered only as a five-door hatchback, and Audi says it has more room inside than the second-generation version thanks to a larger body. The hatchback tailgate also gives it useful cargo space, which helps make the A5 feel more practical without giving up its upscale character.

It also brings a strong standard equipment list and a tech-heavy cabin. Audi’s Digital Stage includes an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and an available 10.9-inch passenger display, while the Audi Assistant voice system adds natural-language control. Standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and a power liftgate.

For shoppers who want a premium daily driver with a practical hatchback layout, the A5 makes a compelling case. Its market availability is also solid, with 41.9% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Audi A5 reliable?

The 2026 Audi A5 is presented as a well-rounded luxury car with a straightforward powertrain setup and strong standard equipment. It uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt hybrid system, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Audi also gives it a stiffer chassis and suspension tuning that contribute to excellent handling.

Its cabin and feature set suggest a modern, carefully packaged design, and the standard equipment list is generous. Safety equipment is also strong, and the 2026 A5 earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a technology-rich luxury car can be more expensive to keep in top shape as it ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Audi A5?

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches its listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior electronics, and any signs of uneven wear, since the A5 leans heavily on technology and premium features. Focus especially on how well the cabin equipment, driver-assistance systems, and power-operated features work in real-world use.
