Used 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz for Sale nearLongmont, CO

How much does the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz cost?

Prices are up 6.14% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 155 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz a good car?

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz earns an 7.2/10 from our experts, and its strongest appeal is how it blends nostalgia with real passenger utility.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

That lines up with the overview: you get a distinctive electric van with excellent passenger space and a cabin that makes a strong visual statement. The trade-offs are just as clear in the test-drive data: peculiar steering feel and a bouncy ride can make it less polished than its styling suggests, and the price is high for what you get.

For shoppers who want a roomy, attention-grabbing EV with a strong identity, it makes sense as a halo vehicle. Still, only 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so value-minded buyers may need to be patient.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz reliable?

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz is presented as a brand-new electric van with a straightforward mechanical setup and a strong emphasis on standard equipment.

The test-drive data points to a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, and the vehicle’s efficiency is described as paying a steep penalty for its retro styling. The overview also frames it as a short-range, high-price model, which matters when you think about long-term ownership costs.

Volkswagen includes five years of Safe & Secure EV connected services, and the cost-effectiveness notes say the vehicle is built in Hanover, Germany and won’t qualify for a U.S. federal EV tax credit unless the benefit is rolled into a lease. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium-priced EV with limited range and complex tech can be expensive to live with if you need maximum efficiency or low running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 100% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with clean listings, you should still run a vehicle history report and inspect the van carefully for signs of wear, especially if you’re considering one of the higher-priced trims. Pay close attention to how the cabin materials, steering feel, and ride quality match your expectations, since those are the kinds of traits that can matter more in daily use than the styling alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Pro S brings 20-inch wheels, power-folding mirrors, and seating for seven, while the Pro S Plus adds a choice of middle-row bench or captain’s chairs, easy open-and-close sliding rear doors and tailgate, a retractable tow hitch, and a Flexboard storage solution. The 1st Edition adds unique wheels, roof rail cross bars, exterior badging, and the electrochromic roof as standard.
• Powertrain: You can choose rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with the RWD version making 282 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque and the AWD version adding more power and torque. The data also notes that efficiency is a trade-off, with range and real-world consumption affected by the van’s styling and size.
• Safety package: Every ID.Buzz includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, rear traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist. The Pro S Plus and 1st Edition add Area View, a 360-degree camera system, and the base trim does not get that camera setup.
• Infotainment: The main screen is 12.9 inches, wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay are included, and Volkswagen Car-Net adds connected features. The Pro S Plus and 1st Edition also come with a head-up display.
• Range & charging: The battery pack is 91 kWh, and the RWD model is rated at 234 miles of EPA-estimated range while the AWD model is rated at 231 miles. The data does not provide a DC fast-charge time, so focus on how the battery size and range fit your driving pattern.
• Battery health: For a used EV, ask for battery state-of-health information if it’s available, review charging habits, and think about whether the vehicle was mostly charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains so you understand your long-term risk.

Which 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz is offered in 3 trim levels: Pro S, Pro S Plus, 1st Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Pro S: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the core ID.Buzz experience with seven-passenger seating, 20-inch wheels, and power-folding mirrors. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model and can live without the extra convenience and tech upgrades.
• Pro S Plus: This is the best-value trim because it adds the most useful everyday upgrades, including the choice of captain’s chairs, sliding rear doors and tailgate that are easier to live with, a retractable tow hitch, Flexboard storage, and the head-up display. If you want the sweet spot between equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• 1st Edition: This trim builds on the Pro S Plus with unique wheels, roof rail cross bars, exterior badging, and the electrochromic roof included as standard. It’s the pick if you want the most distinctive launch-spec version and don’t mind paying more for the extras.

The Pro S Plus and 1st Edition also get the Area View 360-degree camera system, which is a useful safety and parking aid on a vehicle this large.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz?

You should approach this as a seller’s market and shop selectively rather than rushing into the first clean-looking listing.

• Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 155 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.14% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 100% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,190, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz's resale value?

The current average of $62,584 sits slightly above last year's $58,963.

That upward move suggests the ID.Buzz is holding value well in the near term, which is consistent with strong attention and limited supply. For a future seller, that can be a plus if demand stays healthy and the van continues to stand out in the market.

At the same time, the price trend also means you may be paying more now than you would have a year ago. If you buy carefully and keep mileage and condition in check, the current market should help support resale later.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz safe?

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz had not been evaluated in crash tests by either NHTSA or IIHS at the time of this review.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Volkswagen includes a named safety suite through Safe & Secure EV, and standard features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, rear traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist. The Pro S Plus and 1st Edition also add Area View, a 360-degree camera system that should help with parking and maneuvering.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 100% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.14% year-over-year.
• This year stands out for its nostalgic halo-vehicle appeal, excellent passenger space, and strong expert score.

The bottom line: if you want the newest version with the full launch-year appeal and can accept the premium pricing, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you’re more price-sensitive, it makes sense to wait for a better deal or compare listings carefully until you find one near the low end of the range.
