Is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2025 Tacoma combines a totally new frame, a remade interior, and updated infotainment with the Tacoma’s long-running appeal for durability, off-road capability, and everyday usefulness. It also adds a first-ever hybrid drivetrain, while keeping standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a standard 8.0-inch screen. For you, that means a midsize pickup that feels more modern than earlier Tacomas without giving up the core traits that make the nameplate appealing. 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Tacoma is described as carrying Toyota’s strong reputation for reliability, and it keeps the truck’s core appeal intact for buyers who want durability alongside modern tech and off-road capability. Its improved road manners also make it easier to live with than older Tacomas, especially if you split time between pavement and trail use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a truck that still commands strong prices even after depreciation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Tacoma?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has seen off-road use or heavy towing. Focus on wear items, interior condition, and how well the truck drives on pavement, since the 2025 Tacoma is meant to balance daily use with trail capability.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,033, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,347 average.
• The 2024 emphasizes a fresh redesign and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The 2026 adds more configuration breadth and a stronger premium feel.
• It also brings updated trim and package changes for shoppers who want the newest setup.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern version of the Tacoma formula with strong satisfaction and a softer price trend, the 2025 is the primary choice. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current-year average while keeping the Tacoma’s core strengths intact.
