overall

With 9,769 currently listed for sale and an average price of $29,247, 33.1% of 2025 Toyota Camrys for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Camry 4.89 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Camry begins a new chapter as the start of its ninth generation, and it does so with a clear focus on the qualities that have long made the nameplate popular. Toyota gives it a new look, new features, and a new hybrid powertrain, while also leaning into the Camry’s reputation for reliability and safety. The result is a midsize sedan that feels current without straying far from the formula that has made it a perennial favorite among families.
What stands out most is how well the 2025 Toyota Camry balances everyday appeal with efficiency. It is described as fuel-efficient and competitively priced, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim. That combination gives it broad usefulness and a strong value proposition, especially for buyers who want a practical sedan with modern tech and styling. The main drawbacks noted are a noisy engine and a finicky voice assistant, but those issues do not overshadow the Camry’s core strengths.
Owners also praise the 2025 Toyota Camry for its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior. Some have pointed to the absence of features like power folding mirrors and parking sensors as areas where it could be better equipped, but the overall impression is of a well-rounded sedan that delivers the basics very well.

Good value for a new car considering used prices are a bit crazy right now. Ride is smooth , absorbs bumps and harsh roads are not a problem for this car. I average about 60 miles to and from work everyday and so far I average 52 mpg, most of it is highway miles too. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

Bought a 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid yesterday and it seems like a great car. I really like the idea that I can recharge the electric battery just by breaking and letting off of the accelerator. It has a lot of room and it was comparably priced with the Corolla.

Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Camry earns a 4.89/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior. The Camry also stands out for value compared with rising used-car prices, and the overview points to a practical midsize sedan that stays true to the formula families want.
The main trade-offs are a noisy engine and a finicky voice assistant. Even so, the Camry’s use case is clear: you want a current-feeling, efficient family sedan with broad everyday appeal rather than a sporty personality.
Good and great deals account for 35.3% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry reliable?
Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner summary points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers repeatedly highlighting the Camry’s reliability and the confidence it inspires over time. The expert summary also reinforces that reputation by describing the Camry as a perennial favorite with a long-standing reputation for reliability.
The powertrain is designed to operate smoothly in the background, and the hybrid system’s subtle transitions support an easygoing, low-drama driving experience. Toyota also positions the Camry as a model built for long-term use, which should help reassure used buyers who plan to keep the car for years.
If you’re shopping used, the main ownership risk is less about the Camry’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not abused.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still run a history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior electronics, driver-assistance features, and any signs of wear that could affect long-term satisfaction. Focus on condition and equipment level, since some shoppers have noted missing convenience features on certain cars.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The LE trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels and fabric seating surfaces, while SE adds black 18-inch wheels and SofTex synthetic leather upholstery. XSE brings 19-inch wheels, sporty exterior touches, and perforated leather seats, so the lower trims are the ones where you’ll feel the biggest equipment gap.
- Powertrain: Every Camry is hybrid. Front-wheel-drive models use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with electric motors for 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive models add a third electric motor and increase output to 232 horsepower. Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for FWD models and 50 mpg combined for AWD models.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
- Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless charging and five USB ports. Higher trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and XLE and XSE can add a 10-inch head-up display and nine-speaker JBL audio.
- Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 50 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.
Which 2025 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.
Here's the short version:
- LE: This is the value play if you want the Camry’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get standard hybrid power, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, so it covers the essentials well.
- SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look, black 18-inch wheels, and SofTex upholstery without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims. If you want a nicer feel without overpaying, this is the one to focus on.
- XLE: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and more available tech. It gets the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital gauge cluster, and it can add features like the head-up display and JBL audio.
- XSE: This is the most style-forward trim, with 19-inch wheels, sporty exterior details, and perforated leather seats. It makes sense if you want the most premium-feeling Camry and are willing to pay for it.
The Premium Plus Package is available on XLE and XSE, so those trims are the ones to target if advanced parking and traffic-jam features matter to you.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Camry?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 9,797 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,651, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Camry's resale value?
The current average of $29,179 sits slightly below last year's $30,940.
That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also gives you a useful benchmark if you plan to sell later. A model that has already moved down from its prior-year average may be easier for future shoppers to justify, especially if it remains well equipped and cleanly maintained.
The Camry’s strong reputation for reliability, safety, and efficiency should help support demand over time. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records organized, you’ll be in a better position when it’s your turn to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Camry safe?
The 2025 Camry is too new as of this writing to have completed crash testing with independent safety organizations.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. On higher trims, the available Premium Plus Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
The expert notes also point to a strong lane-keeping system that feels firm but still easy to override. The main caveat is that formal crash-test results are not yet available for this model year.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It launches a new generation with a hybrid-only lineup, updated styling, and stronger standard tech.
Consider the 2026 if:
- It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition trim and a new Dark Cosmos paint color.
The bottom line: If you want the newest-generation Camry with strong value, efficiency, and a broad used-car selection, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you’re price-sensitive and find a cleaner or cheaper nearby-year example with the equipment you want, that can still be worth a look, but the 2025 gives you the freshest redesign and the strongest mix of features.
