Is the 2025 Rivian R1S a good car?
The 2025 Rivian R1S sits in a moderate market position, with 38.6% of listings priced as good or great deals. That gives you some room to shop selectively rather than rushing into the first example you see.
With 319 listings available, you have enough inventory to compare condition, mileage, and pricing across multiple vehicles. If you want a used R1S, this is a reasonable time to shop, especially if you can wait for a cleaner example or a stronger deal.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Rivian R1S?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection and focus on overall condition, since the best listings are likely to be the ones with clean history and strong maintenance records. Compare the vehicle history report against the seller’s description, then pay close attention to wear, charging behavior, and any signs of prior damage or heavy use.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Rivian R1S?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and comparison-shop carefully.
- Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 319 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2025 Rivian R1S or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
- 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
The bottom line: The 2025 is a sensible choice if you want a current-year used R1S and can take advantage of the available deal spread. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best combination of condition, history, and asking price rather than the newest badge alone.
