Is the 2025 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating, the 2025 Porsche 911 looks like a strong choice if you want a sports car that still works well in daily use. The model’s appeal comes from its excellent overall performance, comfortable and simplistic interior, and solid daily livability, while the refreshed 992.2 generation adds subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output without losing the familiar rear-engine character.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: highway wind buffeting can be an issue, and the tech is described as slightly confusing. Even so, the 911’s balance of thrilling performance and real-world usability makes it especially compelling if you want something you can enjoy regularly rather than only on weekends.

31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Porsche 911’s reliability case is helped by its polished execution and the way it blends performance with everyday usability. The refreshed model year keeps the familiar rear-engine layout while adding subtle updates, and the expert evaluation highlights excellent ride quality, strong braking, and a well-sorted driving experience. The powertrain and chassis tuning also come across as mature and confidence-inspiring, which is exactly what you want in a used sports car.

The dependability story is also supported by the car’s straightforward, well-integrated controls and the fact that the driving experience feels cohesive rather than overcomplicated. If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is less about the core hardware and more about how the car was maintained and optioned, since a high-performance sports car can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with a strong clean-history rate, you should still run a vehicle history report and verify service records before you buy. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a sports car like this, since you’ll want to confirm that the drivetrain, brakes, tires, and electronics all match the seller’s description. Focus on condition details that matter in a performance car: tire wear, brake wear, curb rash, and signs of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera stands out for its standard Matrix Design LED headlights, clean interior layout, and wide-body look, while the Premium Package adds more convenience and driver-assistance equipment. The base trim is still the value play if you want the core 911 experience without chasing extras.
• Powertrain: The 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six sends 388 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed PDK to the rear wheels. It’s quick, smooth, and tuned for both everyday driving and hard use.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: The center screen measures 10.9 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay is included. The digital instrument cluster measures 12.6 inches and is clear once you learn the interface, though it can take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated fuel economy comes in at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche 911 is offered in 5 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera Cabriolet, Carrera T, Carrera S, and Carrera GTS T-Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value trim if you want the core 911 formula at the lowest starting price. You still get the twin-turbo flat-six, rear-wheel drive, the PDK transmission, strong performance, and the clean, simple cabin that makes the car easy to live with.
• Carrera Cabriolet: Choose this if you want open-air driving and are willing to pay more for the convertible body style. It keeps the 911’s basic character but shifts the focus toward touring and top-down enjoyment.
• Carrera T: This is the trim to consider if you want the manual transmission, since that’s where it’s available. It suits buyers who care more about driver involvement than outright spec-sheet value.
• Carrera S: Move here if you want more power, since it bumps output to 473 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. It’s the better pick if you want a stronger performance margin without jumping all the way to the hybrid GTS.
• Carrera GTS T-Hybrid: This is the most advanced and most expensive of the group, with a 3.6-liter flat-six, larger turbochargers, and a plug-in hybrid system. It’s the choice if you want the most performance and the newest tech in the lineup.

The Premium Package is the key safety-package upgrade to look for if you want adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.

What is the 2025 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $225,349 sits slightly above last year's $220,136.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a good sign if you’re thinking about future resale. The price trend also points to steady demand rather than a softening market, so a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to move later. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment should matter even more if you want to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.37% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed 992.2 generation brings subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output while keeping the classic rear-engine layout.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the 911 with strong market demand and a well-regarded ownership experience, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry point, but you’ll want to compare condition, equipment, and history carefully because the 2025’s market is still holding firm.
