Used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearSewell, NJ

How much does the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 12.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,206 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 6.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2025 refresh brings new tech, a new sound system, and improved suspension tuning, which helps the Outlander feel more polished and comfortable. It also stands out for its quiet cabin and comfortable ride, especially if you value refinement over excitement.

The trade-offs are clear: performance remains sluggish, and the third row is cramped. The styling may also be polarizing, so this is a better fit if you care more about comfort and features than quick acceleration or a universally appealing design.

There are 38.8% good or great deals in the market, which is a solid sign that shoppers can still find value.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander’s refresh focuses more on comfort and tech than on mechanical change, so the core powertrain remains familiar. The expert evaluation also points to a more polished ride and a quieter cabin, which are good signs for day-to-day livability.

The performance notes also suggest the drivetrain is not especially strong, with sluggish acceleration and a CVT that can feel droney under load. On the ownership side, Mitsubishi includes 2 years or 30,000 miles of limited maintenance for free, which helps soften early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Outlander’s strengths are comfort and equipment rather than durability-proof excitement, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the suspension, cabin condition, and how the drivetrain feels in everyday driving. Since the Outlander’s appeal is tied to comfort and features, make sure the interior electronics, seats, and ride quality are all in good shape.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Outlander is available in ES, SE and SEL trims with your choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The base trim gets blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert and rear emergency braking, while the SE adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention and traffic sign recognition.
• Powertrain: The Outlander uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The CVT is tuned with eight steps and paddle shifters, but the engine still feels underpowered in everyday driving.
• Safety package: The base setup includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert and rear emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention and traffic sign recognition are added on the SE.
• Infotainment: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. USB-C ports and a wireless charging pad are included, and upper trims add a larger digital gauge cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation says the Outlander returns 26 miles per gallon combined, and it notes that this is two less than the non-hybrid Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

Which 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 3 trim levels: ES, SE and SEL.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Outlander experience with the standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the basic safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and can live without the extra driver-assistance features.
• SE: This is the best-value trim because it adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention and traffic sign recognition. If you want the most useful safety and convenience upgrades without jumping to the top end, this is the trim to target.
• SEL: This is the most upscale version, with quilted leather seats, plenty of soft-touch surfaces, and access to the upgraded Yamaha audio system, digital dash display, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, rear camera mirror and premium leather interior through available packages. It suits you best if comfort and premium features matter more than value.

The safety-package step up on the SE is the key trim-level gap to watch, since the base trim does not include the full driver-assistance set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

The market looks moderately favorable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,310, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander’s resale value?

The current average of $25,310 sits slightly below last year's $28,887.

That drop suggests the Outlander is currently in a softer pricing position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry point, but a future seller should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage.

Because the market has already moved down, your upside as a seller is likely to be more limited unless you own a well-equipped, well-kept example. For that reason, buying at a strong discount matters more than usual.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a four-star rating in rollover from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver assistance features as standard, but the base model does include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert and rear emergency braking. You need to move up to the SE to get adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention and traffic sign recognition.

The safety testing also shows some caveats: IIHS has given the headlights a “Good” rating, but it has not rated anything else for this model year. The expert notes also mention that lane centering can have trouble keeping the Outlander centered on sweeping highway turns.

Should I buy a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.38% compared with last year.
• The refresh gives you new tech, a new sound system, and improved suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished gas-powered Outlander in this stretch, the 2025 is the one to focus on because it adds meaningful comfort and tech updates without changing the basic formula. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2025’s softer pricing and refresh make it the better all-around pick for most used buyers.
