Used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearLookout, WV

How much does the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 13.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,182 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns an expert rating of 6.7/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2025 Outlander is aimed at you if you want a comfortable, quiet crossover with a refreshed cabin and updated tech, and the 2025 changes make it more appealing than before. The trade-offs are clear: the design can be polarizing, the third row is cramped, and performance remains sluggish. The standard sound system is a standout, and the top SEL trim adds a more upscale feel with quilted leather and soft-touch surfaces.

The market looks reasonably supportive, with 39.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander leans on a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder setup, and Mitsubishi’s 2025 refresh focuses more on comfort, tech, and suspension tuning than on major mechanical changes. That means you’re looking at a model that feels more polished than before, but not fundamentally reengineered.

The expert assessment also points to a vehicle that handles better than previous versions and benefits from a quieter cabin and improved ride comfort. At the same time, the powertrain is left unchanged, and the engine still feels underpowered in everyday driving.

Mitsubishi includes 2 years or 30,000 miles of limited maintenance for free, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Outlander’s strengths are more about comfort and equipment than durability confidence built from a major redesign, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the suspension, cabin condition, and how the drivetrain feels in normal driving. Since the Outlander’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and equipment, make sure the trim you’re considering actually has the features you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: ES, SE and SEL are the trims explicitly named here, and the base setup leaves out some of the nicer comfort and convenience upgrades you’ll find higher up. The SEL stands out for quilted leather seats, soft-touch surfaces, and a more upscale cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and a CVT. It is tuned more for comfort than speed, and acceleration is described as sluggish.
• Safety package: The base setup includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear emergency braking. SE adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims add a larger digital gauge cluster, and the top SEL can get a rear camera mirror and head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the Outlander 26 mpg combined, and the plug-in hybrid version is rated at 64 MPGe with 38 miles of all-electric range.

Which 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 3 trim levels: ES, SE and SEL.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Outlander experience with the standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the basic driver-assistance features. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting cost and can live without the extra convenience and safety upgrades.
• SE: This is the best-value trim because it adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition. If you want the most useful safety and highway-help upgrades without jumping to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• SEL: This is the trim to choose if you care most about a more upscale cabin and available tech. It brings quilted leather seats and soft-touch surfaces, and it can be equipped with the upgraded Yamaha sound system, digital dash display, panoramic sunroof, rear camera mirror, and head-up display.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver-assistance features as standard at the base level, so the SE is the trim where the safety package becomes much more complete.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,436, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $25,436 sits slightly below last year's $29,370.

That drop suggests the Outlander is currently in a softer pricing environment, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, though, it means you should expect resale value to remain sensitive to depreciation unless the vehicle is especially clean, well-equipped, and priced competitively.

If you plan to sell later, the best protection is to buy carefully now and keep the vehicle in strong condition. A well-maintained example with desirable equipment should be easier to move than a higher-mileage or poorly optioned one.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a four-star rating in rollover testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver-assistance features as standard at the base level. You get blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear emergency braking, while SE adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition.

The IIHS has given the Outlander a Good rating for its headlights, but it has not rated anything else for this model year. That limited testing leaves some uncertainty, so you should pay close attention to the trim’s safety equipment and verify exactly which driver-assistance features are included.

Should I buy a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.
• The 2025 refresh brings new tech, a better sound system, and improved suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest gas-powered Outlander with the updated cabin and comfort improvements, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but you should expect to give up some of the 2025 refresh benefits.
