Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is positioned as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, so you get a family-focused luxury hauler rather than a traditional full-size SUV.

The overview also points to a broad equipment list, including a fingerprint scanner as standard and new exterior and interior colors in the Manufaktur Signature range. For you, that means the GLS makes the most sense if you want a large, upscale SUV that prioritizes passenger comfort, usable cargo space, and premium features over sheer size.

35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is described as a comfort-focused luxury SUV with premium interior materials and impressive technology helping define its appeal. It is also presented as a refined, family-oriented option with a strong emphasis on usability and everyday comfort.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that a large, feature-rich luxury SUV can become expensive to keep in top condition if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with lots of equipment. Pay close attention to overall condition, interior wear, and how well the technology and seating functions operate, since those are the kinds of features you’ll use every day.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $79,077 sits slightly below last year's $89,484.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you keep the GLS clean, well-documented, and accident-free, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $70,330, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $79,077 average.
• It adds a refreshed look and more standard equipment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It offers the brand’s most spacious three-row SUV package.
• It emphasizes comfort, refinement, and rewarding driving dynamics.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong inventory, and a well-equipped luxury SUV, the 2025 is the primary choice. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition with the right equipment.
