Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale nearSpringfield Gardens, NY

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 18.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,897 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns an expert rating of 6.17/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out in the midsize three-row SUV class by offering unusual powertrain choices and a more upscale feel than many rivals. The CX-90 is aimed at buyers who want a family-size SUV that is enjoyable to drive, stylish, and premium inside.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, the technology can feel unintuitive, and the cabin packaging sacrifices some passenger and cargo space. Even so, the market still shows 41.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a well-rounded family SUV with strong safety credentials and a premium-feeling cabin, but its drivetrain refinement is a weak point. The power delivery and transmission behavior can feel unpredictable before the vehicle warms up, and the drivetrain can be noisy and harsh enough to undermine the upscale impression.

Mazda’s i-Stop system is intended to improve fuel economy, and the plug-in hybrid adds electric-only driving capability for short trips. The overall ownership picture is still shaped by the CX-90’s refinement issues, so used buyers should pay close attention to how smoothly it drives in real-world conditions.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is living with a vehicle that feels less polished than its styling suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with larger wheels. Focus on how the drivetrain behaves from a cold start, whether the transmission feels smooth, and whether the cabin electronics and driver aids work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Select, Preferred, Premium, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus. The base setup gets the core upscale look and standard safety equipment, while higher trims add more convenience and driver-assistance features.
• Powertrain: You can choose a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine or a plug-in hybrid. The gas models use an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive, and the plug-in hybrid adds short electric-only driving capability.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a vehicle exit warning system. Higher trims add steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch digital instrument panel pairs with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow touch operation, while the native Mazda Connect system relies on the center-console controller.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3 Turbo and 3.3 Turbo S are rated at 25 mpg combined, and the plug-in hybrid offers 25 miles of electric range before operating at 25 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: Select, Preferred, Premium, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point if you want the CX-90’s core safety and style without stretching for extras. It gives you the basic formula, but you’ll miss some of the richer cabin and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and polish while staying below the pricier luxury-leaning versions.
• Premium: This is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel and more equipment without jumping all the way to the top trims.
• Premium Sport: Choose this if you want a more distinctive appearance and a more fully equipped version of the CX-90.
• Premium Plus: This is the one to buy if you want the most premium presentation and the fullest feature set described here.

Mazda adds steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system on more expensive trim levels.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

It looks like a buyer’s market for the 2025 CX-90, especially if you’re willing to compare listings carefully and move quickly on a strong example.

• Deal availability: 41.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,897 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,160, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $33,160 sits slightly below last year's $40,683.

That drop suggests the CX-90 has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help you enter the market at a better price point. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect softer resale conditions than a year ago.

If you buy well now, you may be able to limit your depreciation exposure compared with paying closer to the prior-year average. The key is to shop for a clean, well-equipped example at the lower end of the current range.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings in all crash tests conducted by NHTSA, along with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda makes a long list of driver aids standard, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a vehicle exit warning system. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that the gas-only CX-90 models get four-star ratings in frontal-impact testing, so the safety story is strongest overall but not perfect in every sub-test.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.49% compared with last year.
• It combines unusual powertrains, premium design, and strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,488, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $33,160 average.
• It emphasizes engaging handling and a more driver-focused character.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the premium look and feel while adding minor lineup updates.
• It remains a strong choice for shoppers who want style, safety, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: The 2025 CX-90 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of safety, style, and current-market value. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the smarter budget path, while the 2026 is the better choice if you want the latest minor updates and don’t mind paying more.
