Used 2025 MINI Countryman for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2025 MINI Countryman cost?

Prices have softened 8.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 888 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman a good car?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a 6.83/10 expert rating, and its strongest category score is Look and feel at 9/10.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It fits best if you want a small crossover with personality, expressive styling, BMW-based engineering, and a fun-to-drive character. The trade-offs are clear: dissatisfying steering and poor ride quality, plus unintuitive technology. Even so, it offers multiple powertrain options and more practicality than its size suggests, with usable rear-seat space and competitive cargo capacity.

With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman reliable?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is presented as a well-equipped, modern redesign with standard all-wheel drive and a broad safety and driver-assistance suite, which supports confidence for everyday use.

Its performance setup is lively, but the expert evaluation also notes rough edges in refinement, including clunky shifting and a noisy, brittle ride. On the ownership side, the complimentary maintenance coverage for three years and 36,000 miles is a useful perk that can help early running costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same quirks that make it distinctive can also make it more tiring to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing shows signs of heavy use or modification. Focus on tire wear, wheel condition, brake feel, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features operate as expected. Because this model leans more toward character than polish, condition matters a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Countryman’s look changes a lot with the chosen model, style package, paint, wheels, and interior. Base configurations are less distinctive than higher-spec builds, so check whether the equipment and appearance match what you want.
• Powertrain: The Cooper S uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and standard all-wheel drive. It is quick and nimble, but the transmission can feel clunky and the powertrain is not especially refined.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high beams, parking sensors, left-turn warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Assisted Driving and Assisted Driving Plus build on that hardware, but the more advanced function is tied to the optional Comfort Max Package.
• Infotainment: The Countryman uses a round 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless charging, and over-the-air-capable connected services. The interface is feature-rich, but it can be frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The official estimate is 27 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 MINI Countryman trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is offered in 3 trim levels: Cooper S All4, John Cooper Works All4, and SE All4.

Here's the short version:

• Cooper S All4: This is the best-value choice if you want the core Countryman experience. It delivers the lively turbocharged four-cylinder, standard all-wheel drive, and the personality that defines the model without pushing all the way into the pricier performance or electric versions.
• John Cooper Works All4: Choose this if you want the most power and the most aggressive character in the lineup. It is the right pick if performance matters more to you than comfort or value.
• SE All4: Pick this if you want the electric version and its estimated 212-mile range. It suits shoppers who want MINI style with an EV powertrain.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the more advanced Assisted Driving Plus function is tied to the optional Comfort Max Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a fire sale.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 888 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,187, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $34,233 sits slightly below last year's $37,423.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect depreciation pressure if you pay near the top of the range now. The best resale outcome will come from buying well, keeping mileage reasonable, and preserving condition.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman safe?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a Top Safety Pick from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, left-turn warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Assisted Driving adds more automation by pairing adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist, while Assisted Driving Plus is the hands-free version tied to the optional Comfort Max Package.

One caveat is that the more advanced hands-free system is not universally available in the United States, and its behavior can be inconsistent in real-world use.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• The redesign brings more space, standard all-wheel drive, and a stronger mix of tech and personality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,079, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $34,233 average.
• It offers a proven, characterful package with easier-to-use technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the redesigned Countryman’s added space, updated tech, and standard AWD. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you want the MINI personality without paying for the newest version.
