Used 2025 MINI Cooper for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2025 MINI Cooper cost?

Prices have softened 4.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,188 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2025 MINI Cooper earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal with some clear compromises. The model is redesigned for 2025, grows a bit inside and out, and still weighs less than 3,000 pounds, so you get the MINI’s familiar small-car personality with a more modern cabin and a playful driving character.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the infotainment is called terrible, and you do not get independent gear shifting unless you pay extra. Even so, the car’s use case is straightforward — you’re buying it for style, personality, and lively driving rather than maximum practicality.

The market shows 35.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 MINI Cooper is described as a redesigned model with a lighter footprint, and that combination of compact size and updated hardware supports the sense that it should feel solid in everyday use.

Its turbocharged four-cylinder and dual-clutch automatic are presented as lively and responsive, and the car’s overall fuel economy is described as solid. The infotainment and software behavior are less reassuring, though, since the system is described as laggy and prone to needing repeated re-pairing and readjustment.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a fun, highly digital small car can be more frustrating if software behavior or recall-related items have not been addressed.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, verify recall completion, and prioritize a thorough test drive because the car’s tech and driver-assistance behavior matter a lot in daily use. Pay close attention to how the infotainment responds, whether the phone connection stays stable, and whether the cabin electronics behave consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin design is fresh, the panoramic sunroof is standard on four-door models, and the front seats come with heating and manual adjustment. Base-trim buyers should pay attention to which comfort and appearance features are included, since the car’s personality is tied closely to its equipment mix.
• Powertrain: The car uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and front-wheel drive. The base model makes 161 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, while the Cooper S makes 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Safe Exit function, pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning are standard. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane-keep assist are available as part of the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600.
• Infotainment: The round 9.4-inch touchscreen runs Mini Operating System 9, and Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and dual-zone climate control are standard. The system is described as laggy, so make sure it behaves well during your test drive.
• Fuel efficiency: The car is EPA-rated at 28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined.

Which 2025 MINI Cooper trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Cooper is offered in 4 trim levels: Signature three-door, Cooper S three-door, Cooper four-door, Cooper S four-door.

Here's the short version:

• Signature three-door: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest starting price and the classic MINI formula without paying for extra power. It suits you best if style and city-friendly size matter more than outright performance.
• Cooper S three-door: This is the best-value trim if you want the MINI personality at its most entertaining. The stronger engine gives you the liveliest version of the car, and the expert notes make clear that the added torque is worth it.
• Cooper four-door: Choose this if you want easier rear-seat access and a bit more everyday flexibility. It keeps the core MINI character while adding practicality.
• Cooper S four-door: Pick this if you want the stronger engine and the four-door body style together. It is the right fit if you want the most usable version of the sporty setup.

The safety package is available as an add-on, so check whether the specific trim you’re considering includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,188 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,993, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $31,063 sits slightly below last year's $32,652.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit.

The car’s strong owner satisfaction rating can help support demand later, especially among shoppers who value personality and driving enjoyment over pure practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper safe?

The 2025 MINI Cooper has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safe Exit function is standard, along with pedestrian detection and forward-collision warning. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane-keep assist are available through the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600.

A key caveat for used buyers is the recall for the integrated braking system, so you should confirm that any affected vehicle has had the issue remedied before you buy.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model is redesigned with a larger cabin, all-new infotainment tech, and a lighter-than-3,000-pound footprint that helps preserve its playful character.

The bottom line: If you want the newest MINI Cooper with the updated cabin, revised styling, and the strongest sense of the brand’s current direction, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive and mainly want MINI style and personality, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 gives you the freshest design and the broadest appeal in this generation.
