Used 2025 Lexus GX for Sale nearPassaic, NJ

How much does the 2025 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 6.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,071 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used GX options to compare.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The GX stands out as a stylish midsize luxury SUV that looks the part and backs it up with strong on-road manners and impressive off-road ability. It also brings a strong mix of standard tech, safety equipment, and overall versatility, which makes it appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels well rounded.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and a high base price, and off-road features are not standard across the lineup. Even so, the GX’s easy-to-use technology and serious capability make it a compelling choice if you want a premium SUV that can do more than just commute.

36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GX is presented as a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong versatility, and its standard equipment mix supports that impression. Its performance setup is robust, with a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6, full-time four-wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission, which points to a durable, capability-first design.

Its standard driver-assistance suite is also broad and user-friendly, which can help reduce day-to-day stress and support confidence over time. If you plan to buy used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that fuel costs and off-road-focused hardware can make it more expensive to live with than a typical midsize SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the equipment and condition you expect. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that may have seen trail use. Focus on signs of wear in the cabin, tires, suspension, and underbody, since this SUV is built to do more than just commute.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is clean and elegant, with quality-feeling switchgear and a chic dashboard, center console, and door design. The base trim’s equipment mix is strong, but the lineup’s off-road-focused hardware is not standard across every version.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, paired with full-time four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The setup delivers strong acceleration and confident highway passing, but fuel economy is a weak point.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera system and rearview camera are also included, with trail-viewing cameras on the Overtrail+ tester.
• Infotainment: The GX uses a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth are standard, and the interface is quick, smooth, and easy to learn.
• Fuel efficiency: The GX is rated at 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, with 17 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Lexus GX is offered in 6 trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Overtrail, Overtrail+, Luxury, and Luxury+.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the GX’s athletic powertrain, strong standard safety tech, easy-to-use infotainment, and upscale cabin feel. It makes sense if you want the GX experience without paying for trail-focused extras.
• Premium+: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete luxury setup while staying below the off-road-focused versions. It builds on the base formula with more comfort-oriented equipment and keeps the GX’s core strengths intact.
• Overtrail: This is the trim to choose if you want the GX’s off-road character to come alive. It adds the trail-ready hardware that the base trims do not get, making it the better pick for buyers who actually plan to use the SUV beyond pavement.
• Overtrail+: This is the most capable choice in the lineup and the one that best matches the GX’s adventurous personality. It suits you if you want the fullest off-road setup and are willing to pay for it.
• Luxury: This trim shifts the focus more toward comfort than trail-readiness. It’s the right fit if you want a more upscale daily driver and care less about rugged hardware.
• Luxury+: This is the top comfort-oriented choice, aimed at buyers who want the most premium-feeling GX experience.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the off-road-centric equipment is not standard on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,071 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $85,001, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $85,001 sits slightly below last year's $91,245.

That softer pricing suggests the GX has become a bit easier to buy used, which can also mean future sellers may face more competition when they list theirs. Even so, the model’s strong capability, upscale image, and broad appeal should help it remain desirable among shoppers who want a luxury SUV with real utility.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Lexus GX safe?

The 2025 Lexus GX has not been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control with Curve Speed Management, lane-centering assistance, road sign assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high-beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera system and rearview camera are also part of the package, with trail-viewing cameras on the Overtrail+ tester.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• One year after its debut, the GX still looks great, drives well, and delivers standout off-road capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a clear off-road focus with seating for up to seven and just over 9,000 pounds of towing capacity.

The bottom line: If you want the better shopping environment and a proven first-year version of this redesigned GX, the 2025 is the stronger pick. If you want the next model year’s added towing and utility emphasis, the 2026 is worth a look, especially if you’re comparing similarly equipped luxury SUVs.
