Used 2025 Kia EV6 for Sale nearBloomington, IL

Is the 2025 Kia EV6 a good car?

The 2025 Kia EV6 earns an expert rating of 7.83/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The EV6’s appeal comes from its appealing design, stylish and practical interior, and one of the most sophisticated EV platforms available at its price point. For this model year, Kia also gives it an exterior facelift, a revised interior, increased battery capacity, a new charging port, modified steering, frame enhancements to ensure safety, and next-generation infotainment technology. That makes it especially compelling if you want an electric crossover that feels more upscale than its size and segment might suggest.

The trade-offs are real, though: the EV6 has aggravating safety features and not much cargo space. It also has frustrating voice recognition tech, which can make some of the onboard technology feel less polished than the rest of the vehicle.

With 44.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market offers a decent amount of value-shopping opportunity.

Is the 2025 Kia EV6 reliable?

The 2025 Kia EV6 is built around a sophisticated EV platform, and the expert review highlights commendable power, plenty of driving range, and quick recharging times. It also benefits from a revised structure and added sound insulation, which contribute to a solid, robust, and quiet driving feel.

The performance notes point to an 800-volt charging system that can bring the battery from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes when conditions are right, and the cost-effectiveness notes emphasize Kia’s generous warranty plans. That combination supports the EV6 as a strong modern EV choice for daily use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic mechanical durability and more about whether the charging setup, software behavior, and driver-assistance quirks fit your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia EV6?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has spent a lot of time on DC fast charging. Pay close attention to the condition of the charging port, infotainment behavior, and any signs that the driver-assistance systems have been overly intrusive or inconsistently calibrated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans Light, Light Long Range, Wind, GT-Line, and GT. The base Light is the most stripped-down version, while the higher trims add more range, more power, and more upscale equipment. The GT-Line test vehicle showed how the cabin can feel premium, but the lower trims are where you’re most likely to notice feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The EV6 uses single-motor rear-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive setups. The Light uses a 63-kWh battery with 167 horsepower, 258 pound-feet of torque, and 237 miles of range. The larger-battery versions use an 84-kWh pack, with 225 hp in single-motor form and 320 hp and 446 lb-ft in dual-motor AWD form.
• Safety package: Kia equips the EV6 with plenty of driver aids, including Highway Driving Assist 2, which pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist. The review also notes Blind Spot Safety and rear cross-traffic braking behavior that can be overly aggressive, so you should test those systems carefully.
• Infotainment: The EV6 uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel. Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are a major plus, and the new software is much improved, but voice recognition can be frustrating if Kia Connect is not active.
• Range & charging: Range runs from 237 miles on the Light to 270 to 310 miles depending on setup and wheel size. The GT-Line AWD test vehicle returned 270 miles of range and 35 kWh per 100 miles. With a 350-kW charger, Kia says the battery can go from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has typically been charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and review how much of the battery warranty remains. A clean charging history and normal charging behavior matter more than mileage alone.

Which 2025 Kia EV6 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia EV6 is offered in 5 trim levels: Light, Light Long Range, Wind, GT-Line, and GT.

Here’s the short version:

• Light: This is the entry point, and it gives you the EV6 experience at the lowest price. It uses the smaller battery and rear-wheel-drive setup, so it makes the most sense if you want the style and platform without paying for extra range or power.
• Light Long Range: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the larger battery and more usable range without jumping all the way to the pricier trims. If you want the EV6’s core strengths with the most balanced mix of range and cost, start here.
• Wind: This trim sits in the middle of the lineup and is the natural step up if you want more equipment and the larger-battery powertrain without going as far as the GT-Line’s premium presentation.
• GT-Line: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale feel short of the GT. The test vehicle showed off the EV6’s stylish cabin, premium materials, and high-tech atmosphere especially well, making this a strong pick if comfort and presentation matter to you.
• GT: This is the top performance-oriented trim, and it sits at the top of the range. Choose it only if you want the most aggressive version of the EV6 rather than the best value.

Kia’s safety content shows that the EV6 comes with plenty of driver aids, but some of them can be overly intrusive, so it’s worth testing those systems on your own route before you buy.

Is the 2025 Kia EV6 safe?

The 2025 Kia EV6 earns top scores in the IIHS tests completed so far.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia equips the EV6 with Highway Driving Assist 2, which combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist for highway driving. Should I buy a 2025 Kia EV6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 44.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• This year brings an exterior facelift, a revised interior, increased battery capacity, a new charging port, modified steering, frame enhancements to ensure safety, and next-generation infotainment technology.

The bottom line: If you want the most updated EV6 experience, the 2025 model is the one to target because it layers meaningful design, tech, and hardware updates onto an already appealing EV. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’ll want to weigh the savings against the 2025’s improved charging setup, refreshed cabin, and broader polish.
