About the Cadillac Lyriq
About the Cadillac Lyriq
The Lyriq is Cadillac’s first all-electric model. It’s also one of the newest Cadillacs, having just launched for the 2023 model year. Competitors include the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, Jaguar I-Pace, and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
What are the advantages of the Cadillac Lyriq?
- Stylish design
- Comfortable
- Impressive electric range
What is the best Cadillac Lyriq model year?
Cadillac only offered a limited number of configurations in the Lyriq’s initial model year. Starting with the 2024 model year, Cadillac added more trim levels, as well as a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain to supplement the single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) powertrain available at launch.
What are the disadvantages of the Cadillac Lyriq?
- Unintuitive technology
- Advanced safety features are not standard
Comparison: Is the Cadillac Lyriq better than the Genesis GV60?
The Lyriq is a bit bigger than the Genesis GV60, and offers more maximum range at 314 miles, compared to 294 miles for the Genesis. But the GV60 offers faster charging and a better warranty than the Lyriq.
Is the Cadillac Lyriq a reliable car?
It’s too soon to judge the Lyriq’s long-term reliability, but the newness of the underlying General Motors Ultium battery hardware could mean that owners are in for some teething problems.
Is the Cadillac Lyriq worth the cost?
The Lyriq is one of the best luxury SUVs in its price range—electric or otherwise. It’s also competitively priced against the electric offerings from rival brands.

The Kia EV6 has garnered praise from owners for its impressive performance, stylish design, and high-quality interior across all model years. Drivers particularly enjoy its fast acceleration, smooth ride, and advanced safety features. However, some have raised concerns regarding the vehicle's visibility and limited cargo space compared to competitors. Additionally, a few reviewers feel that the pricing might not fully justify the features provided, leading to mixed feelings about value for money. Overall, the EV6 is viewed as a strong contender in the electric vehicle market, especially for families looking for a modern solution.

What people say
I love my new EV6! All the great reviews were spot on, its a fabulous car. It’s fun to drive too—powerful, responsive, smooth, quiet…and I love the one pedal driving option.
The lovely ‘22 Kia EV6 GT-Line has great features beautifully lit by the interior leds. It is a comfortable ride with a luxurious ambience. The backseat is spacious and the trunk fits a wheelchair with the seats reclined back. The car has helpful emergency braking, precise perimeter alerts, smart adaptive cruise control, seamless lane changing and stable lane keeping capability. We receive lots of compliments. Charging is very convenient.
I purchased a 2022 Kia EV6 Wind AWD with about 8k miles on it in September. Drove it the last 4 months and it was a very responsive and great handling car. I had multiple issues with Chargepoint and ended up replacing it with a Wallbox home charger. The wallbox is faster (11.5 kw/h) as well and much more reliable. I totaled the car last week and had zero injuries thanks to the amazing crash worthiness and safety features. I have to shop for a new car and I will probably get another one. Price/quality is right up there ! Some of the features are a little quirky to use and I dont like that the apple car play must be plugged in still. Probably my only negatives.
compared to tesla and hyundai iconic 5. after driving all three this car road better and was better equipped than the tesla model S. the hyundai was as good but the steering wheel got in way of the instrument cluster. and it didnt have ventilation seats.
I have been looking for an EV for awhile with a budget and great look, I think this car has it all. Highly recommended!!!
