How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 15.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,298 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns 4/5 from users and 5.33/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

It stands out for iconic looks and legendary off-road ability, plus two-door and four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels. The tradeoff is that it remains noisy, rides poorly, and can be unpleasant to drive every day, so it fits you best if you value adventure over refinement.

Cons: It is noisy, and its poor ride quality makes it less appealing as a daily driver.

Cons: It is also poor value for money once you start adding the equipment most shoppers want.

Market signal: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s rugged design and straightforward mission suggest a vehicle built around durability and repeat use in tough conditions. Its removable top and doors, drain holes in the floor, and standard four-wheel drive all reinforce that it is meant to handle dirt, water, and frequent use.

The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant aside from its nasal idle note and loud cooling fan, which is useful context if you want a more efficient setup. If you plan to keep one long term, your biggest ownership risk is accepting the Wrangler’s compromises in comfort and refinement while staying on top of wear from hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck has not been modified in ways that affect reliability or safety. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because the Wrangler’s appeal often depends on how hard it has been used, especially if it has seen trail duty or frequent top-off, doors-off driving. Focus on cabin condition, roof and door fitment, and signs of water intrusion or rough use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Jeep offers the 2025 Wrangler in Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 trims. The base Sport is the most stripped-down, while the Sport S adds more everyday convenience and is a better starting point for most shoppers.
• Powertrain: The standard entry-level setup is a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual transmission, while the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder comes with an eight-speed automatic and is marginally more fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, and adaptive cruise control is also available on higher trims.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. More expensive models can add navigation and Jeep Connect connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged engine is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, compared with 19-20 mpg for the V6.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version and lacks some of the convenience and safety equipment you may want.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds more everyday usability while staying below the pricier off-road and luxury-oriented versions.
• Willys: Choose this if you want a more trail-focused personality without jumping all the way to the upper trims.
• Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want forward collision warning with automatic braking as standard.
• Rubicon: Pick this if off-road capability is your top priority.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale Rubicon choice for buyers who want a richer equipment mix.
• Rubicon 392: This is the performance flagship, with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag.

The Sahara is the key safety-package trim because it is the one that brings forward collision warning with automatic braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,539, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,539 sits slightly below last year's $43,450.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key question is whether the Wrangler’s strong identity and broad appeal can offset the softer pricing trend. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should still attract attention, especially because the model remains distinctive in a crowded SUV market.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns Good ratings for side-impact protection and the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test from IIHS, and it earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star rollover resistance ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep’s standard safety setup includes side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats, which is a meaningful improvement. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights are also available on higher trims.

The main caution is the Wrangler’s Marginal small overlap frontal-impact result from IIHS, where it tipped onto its side in testing. That result is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus the V6/automatic drivetrain returns to the lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,286, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $36,539 average.
• It adds a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary target if you want the current-year price advantage and the Wrangler’s core appeal without paying more for a prior-year example. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2025 also looks attractive because the market has softened and inventory is broad enough to shop selectively.
