How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 15.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,709 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.3/10 expert rating, so you’re looking at a vehicle that resonates with shoppers even if it isn’t broadly polished. The Wrangler’s appeal comes from its iconic looks, removable top and doors, and adventure-first personality, while its breadth of two-door and four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels gives you more choice than its rugged image suggests. The trade-offs are clear: it can be noisy, ride poorly, and feel like poor value for money, and our experts also call out its rough, raw, and unrefined character. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

The main upside is that you’re buying something built around off-road ability and a distinctive ownership experience, not a conventional daily-driver formula. The main downside is that the same traits that make it special can make it less appealing if you want refinement. 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The Wrangler’s core appeal is durability in use, with a design centered on adventure, removable body panels, and easy cleanup after getting dirty. Its performance setup also supports that mission, with standard four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and generous approach and departure angles.

The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant, aside from its nasal idle note and loud cooling fan. Jeep also notes that the Wrangler can save money over time if you choose the 4xe or the turbocharged four-cylinder. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is less about mechanical reputation than about whether the previous owner used the Wrangler hard and kept up with maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a Wrangler that may have seen trail use or heavy customization. Focus on signs of wear from top and door removal, interior exposure, and underbody use, since this model is built to get dirty and wet. It’s also smart to verify which safety and convenience options are actually installed, because several useful features are not standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim is the most basic version, while the Sport S adds more everyday convenience and can be equipped with helpful safety upgrades. Higher trims add more equipment, but the base trim leaves out some desirable features.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual transmission, while the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder comes with an eight-speed automatic and is marginally more fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights are also available.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. Navigation and Jeep Connect are available on more expensive models.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, compared with 19-20 mpg for the V6.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down version and leaves out some useful safety equipment that you can get higher up the range.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim if you want the Wrangler experience with more everyday usability, especially because it can add helpful convenience and safety features.
• Willys: This trim adds more character and capability-focused appeal if you want a more adventurous look and feel without jumping to the pricier upper trims.
• Sahara: This is the trim to consider if you want forward collision warning with automatic braking as standard.
• Rubicon: This is the choice if you want the most trail-focused mainstream Wrangler setup.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale off-road-oriented option for buyers who want extra equipment.
• Rubicon 392: This is the high-output, high-price halo model with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter V8.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available on the base Sport trim, and forward collision warning with automatic braking is standard only on the Sahara.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,709 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,310, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,310 sits slightly below last year's $41,917.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price pressure if the trend continues. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher average. The Wrangler’s strong identity and loyal following can help support demand, but condition and equipment will matter a lot when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The Wrangler earns a four-star frontal-impact rating and a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, while IIHS gives it Good ratings for side-impact protection and the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, plus a Marginal result in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Wrangler’s standard safety story starts with side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality is also available on automatic-transmission models, and automatic high-beam headlights are offered as well.

The main caveat is that the Wrangler’s crash-test picture is incomplete, and the Marginal small overlap result is the key weakness you should keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus the return of the V6/automatic drivetrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,721, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,310 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology and safety.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing and broad availability, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is fuel-saving capability, the 2024 is worth a look, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the small usability update and can wait for a newer model year.

How does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler compare to the 2025 Ford Bronco?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2025 Jeep Wrangler:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Impressive off-roading capability, Removable top and doors.
• Cons: Noisy, Poor ride quality, Poor value for money.

2025 Ford Bronco:

• Pros: Stylish design, Fun to drive, Impressive off-road capability.
• Cons: Poor fuel economy, Advanced safety features are not standard, Poor value for money.

Our experts score the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 5.3/10 and the 2025 Ford Bronco 6.8/10. The Bronco comes across as the more polished and better-rated choice, while the Wrangler leans harder into its removable-top, doors-off identity. Both are fun and both have value trade-offs, but the Wrangler’s appeal is more about character and off-road tradition.
