How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 16.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,772 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

The Wrangler’s appeal is rooted in its iconic looks, legendary off-road ability, and highly configurable body styles and trim range. It is built for adventure rather than polish, and the removable top and doors reinforce that mission.

The trade-offs are clear: it is noisy, rides poorly, and is a weak value proposition once you start adding the equipment many shoppers want. Even so, if you want a vehicle that feels purpose-built for getting dirty, its character is hard to duplicate.

39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s rugged design and straightforward mission suggest a vehicle that is meant to be used hard, and the expert review reinforces that it remains focused on durability and adventure rather than refinement. The performance notes also point to a capable, proven formula with standard four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and strong approach and departure angles.

The cost-effectiveness notes add that the turbocharged four-cylinder is a fine powerplant aside from its nasal idle note and loud cooling fan, and the available 4xe can help reduce fuel use if you plug it in regularly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Wrangler’s rough character and high option pricing can make ownership feel less satisfying if you expect everyday comfort.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Jeep has been used off-road or heavily modified. Focus on roof, door, suspension, and interior condition, since this model is designed to be used in ways that can accelerate wear.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392, and the base Sport is the one most likely to leave out desirable equipment. The Sport S adds more everyday usability, while the higher trims bring more capability and equipment.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 3.6-liter V6 and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and the four-cylinder is described as marginally more fuel-efficient with 21 mpg in combined driving versus 19-20 mpg for the V6.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim level, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights are also available.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. More expensive models offer navigation and Jeep Connect connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, compared with 19-20 mpg for the V6.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down because key safety features are not standard here. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting point and plan to keep the build simple.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying closer to the Wrangler’s core mission. It is the trim that makes the most sense if you want the Wrangler experience without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Willys: Choose this if you want a more characterful Wrangler with a stronger off-road lean than the lower trims. It suits buyers who care more about image and trail-ready attitude than luxury.
• Sahara: This is the trim to consider if you want more comfort and the safety package that includes forward collision warning with automatic braking. It is the better fit if you want a Wrangler that feels more complete for mixed use.
• Rubicon: This is the trim for buyers who want the most serious off-road focus without going all the way to the specialty models. It is the right choice if trail capability matters more than daily comfort.
• Rubicon X: This is the more upscale off-road choice, aimed at buyers who want a richer equipment mix on top of serious capability. It makes sense if you want a premium-feeling Wrangler with strong trail credentials.
• Rubicon 392: This is the extreme performance-oriented choice, with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag. It is for buyers who want the most dramatic Wrangler experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is not standard across the lineup, so pay close attention to which trim includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

The market looks selective but workable for buyers who are ready to move on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,772 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.40% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,476, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,476 sits slightly below last year's $42,433.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price pressure if the trend continues. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later. Strong demand for the Wrangler’s image and capability should still help support resale interest.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a Good rating in IIHS side-impact protection and a Good rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, while the NHTSA gives it four-star frontal-impact ratings and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Wrangler’s safety equipment includes standard side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats, plus available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on all but the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking is reserved for the Sahara, and adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights are also available.

The main caveat is the Marginal small overlap frontal-impact result, where the Wrangler tipped onto its side during testing. That result is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• This year brings standard power windows and door locks, plus the return of the V6/automatic drivetrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,097, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,476 average.
• It adds a more modern feel and broader appeal through updated technology and safety.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary target if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and classic Wrangler character. If you are more price-sensitive, shop the 2025 first and only move to another year if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example that justifies the difference.

How does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler compare to the 2025 Ford Bronco?

2025 Ford Bronco:

• Pros: Stylish design, Fun to drive, Impressive off-road capability.
