Used 2025 Genesis G80 for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2025 Genesis G80 cost?

Prices have softened 5.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 305 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as a good-looking, feature-rich, well-priced midsize luxury sedan that leans heavily on design, technology, and features. The ride quality is a clear strength, and the cabin’s premium materials help reinforce its upscale character.

The main trade-offs are that it is not the quickest car in its class and its fuel economy is a weak point. If you want a luxury sedan that delivers a lot of content for the money and prioritizes comfort over speed, this year’s G80 fits that brief well.

35.4% of listings are marked as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The G80’s appeal is reinforced by its strong value positioning, premium materials, and comfortable, easygoing character. Its standard all-wheel drive and composed ride also support the sense that this is a car built for everyday use rather than constant hard driving.

The powertrain is described as smooth and competent, and the car’s long-distance comfort is a major strength. Genesis also includes three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s performance and fuel economy may not match the expectations set by its luxury-car image.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well the cabin, electronics, and ride quality have been preserved.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models wear standard 18-inch wheels and leatherette seating surfaces, while the Advanced trim adds wood trim. Higher trims bring more upscale materials, including Nappa leather seats and a micro-suede headliner.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque or a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. The V6 is quicker, but the car is still tuned more for comfort than urgency.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, speed limit assist, forward and rear park-distance warning, blind-spot avoidance tech, and Highway Drive Assist. Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park, rear occupant alert, and a blind-spot monitor with a video feed in the gauge cluster.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 27-inch OLED display touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also includes fingerprint authentication, with digital key and Smart Park available.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the G80 a combined fuel rating of 24 miles per gallon for the smaller engine, dropping to 19 mpg combined in the twin-turbo V6.

Which 2025 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis G80 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Advanced, Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core G80 experience with standard all-wheel drive, the 27-inch OLED display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the model’s strong standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the lineup.
• Advanced: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds wood trim and moves the cabin closer to the G80’s upscale promise without jumping into the pricier performance-oriented versions.
• Sport Advanced: This trim is for you if you want the more aggressive appearance and richer equipment mix without paying for the top-end model. It is the better choice than the flagship if you want more content but do not need every available upgrade.
• Sport Prestige: This is the top trim and brings the most lavish presentation, including carbon fiber trim, shiny alloy pedals, Nappa leather seats and a micro-suede headliner. Choose it if you want the most luxurious version and are willing to pay for it.

Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park and rear occupant alert.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 305 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2025 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $53,164 sits slightly below last year's $56,455.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make the car easier to purchase now but may also mean sellers need to be realistic on exit pricing. If you buy at the right number, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

The G80’s strong value story and premium presentation should help it remain appealing to used shoppers who want luxury without the usual price premium. That said, its resale performance will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2025 Genesis G80 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA and a top Good rating in small front and side crashes as well as front pedestrian avoidance from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis makes most driver-assistance aids standard, including forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, speed limit assist, forward and rear park-distance warning, blind-spot avoidance tech, and Highway Drive Assist. Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park, rear occupant alert, and a blind-spot monitor that can display a video feed in the gauge cluster.

One caveat is that IIHS gave the G80 Acceptable marks for headlights, forward collision avoidance and LATCH ease of use, and a Marginal score in moderate front crashes and seat belt reminders.

Should I buy a 2025 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.83% compared with last year.
