Used 2025 GMC Canyon for Sale nearMidlothian, IL

How much does the 2025 GMC Canyon cost?

Prices have softened 6.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,619 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Canyon a good car?

The 2025 GMC Canyon stands out as a midsize pickup that leans harder into power, technology, and upscale trim content than many shoppers expect from the class. It is offered only as a four-door crew cab with a five-foot bed, and GMC gives it a broader spread of personalities than a basic work truck, from the well-equipped Elevation to the more luxurious Denali and the off-road-focused AT4 and AT4X family.

That mix makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize truck that feels more premium than utilitarian, especially if you value a modern cabin, a strong standard equipment list, and off-road capability. The tradeoff is that the more rugged versions give up some pace and road agility, and the truck’s pricing sits above many mainstream alternatives.

Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 GMC Canyon reliable?

The 2025 GMC Canyon’s appeal is built more around capability, tech, and upscale content than around a reputation for simplicity. It comes with a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the standard equipment list is broad even on the entry trim.

That said, the truck’s premium positioning and more complex feature set mean long-term ownership risk can rise if you buy a poorly maintained example or one that has seen hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Canyon?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s equipment and trim match the listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering an off-road-focused version, since those trucks are more likely to have seen demanding use. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, suspension behavior, and signs of heavy towing or trail abuse.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Canyon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,619 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,564, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $41,566 sits slightly below last year's $44,377.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you get in at a better entry point today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and whether the truck has desirable equipment. Well-kept examples with strong features should hold up better than higher-mileage trucks with signs of hard use.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Canyon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $39,637, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,566 average.
• It adds a more serious off-road setup with an AEV package.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds fresh styling and available off-road upgrades.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, inventory depth, and a premium-feeling midsize truck, the 2025 is the primary path to shop. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better secondary option, especially if you want a lower entry price and can live with an older model year.
