How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV cost?

There are 1,501 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV earns an expert rating of 6.5/10. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It is built around the basics that matter most to many shoppers: affordability, comfort, and range. The overview frames it as a practical entry point into EV ownership, and the expert summary reinforces that it brings EV ownership within reach for many buyers while delivering more than 300 miles of range.

The trade-offs are clear. It is not a standout for performance or excitement, and Apple CarPlay is not offered. That means you are getting a value-focused EV rather than a flashy one, with the strongest appeal if you care more about range and everyday usability than driving thrills.

With 40.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market currently gives you a decent chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV is presented as a comfortable, easy-to-live-with SUV with a quiet cabin and generally dependable standard features. The expert notes say the ride is smooth, the braking is confidence-inspiring, and the cabin stays quieter than a gas-powered SUV, even if highway boominess can show up at speed.

The performance notes point to a single-motor front-wheel-drive setup in standard form, with an available dual-motor all-wheel-drive version. Both versions use an 85-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and the EV includes one-pedal driving plus multiple regeneration settings, which can help you tailor daily driving and reduce brake wear.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to the desirable $7,500 federal EV tax credit, which can improve ownership economics if you qualify. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery, charging behavior, and software-controlled systems have been cared for consistently over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where software, charging behavior, and battery condition matter as much as cosmetic wear. Focus on how the vehicle has been used, whether it charges normally at home and on DC fast chargers, and whether any warning lights or driver-assistance quirks show up during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level LT is the economical choice, and the RS adds larger wheels, blacked-out styling elements, red interior accents, and a few added convenience and safety packages. The base LT does not feel stripped out, so you should weigh whether the RS styling and extras are worth the higher price.
• Powertrain: Standard models use a single 220-horsepower electric motor with front-wheel drive, while available all-wheel drive adds a second motor and raises output to 300 hp. The front-drive version is the efficiency-focused choice, while AWD brings quicker acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with steering intervention, automatic high beams, and GM’s safety alert seat. Optional Active Safety Package 2 adds a surround-view camera system with rear pedestrian alerts, while Active Safety Package 3 adds a semi-automated parking system and Super Cruise.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, sharp graphics, and quick responses. Wireless charging is available, but Apple CarPlay is not offered.
• Range & charging: The front-drive model is estimated at up to 319 miles of range, while AWD drops that estimate to 307 miles. The battery pack is 85 kWh, DC fast charging peaks at 150 kW, and the system should add about 70 miles in roughly 10 minutes.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, confirm normal charging behavior at home and on DC fast chargers, and review how much of the battery warranty remains. You want evidence that the pack has been used and maintained in a way that supports long-term range retention.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV is offered in 2 trim levels: LT and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the best-value choice if you want the Equinox EV’s core strengths without paying extra for styling upgrades. It delivers the standard single-motor setup, strong range, and the full set of everyday comfort and safety features, making it the trim most buyers should start with.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier look, larger wheels, red interior accents, and the added convenience and safety packages that can be layered in. It makes sense if you care more about appearance and extra equipment than maximum value.

The safety package lineup is a real differentiator, especially if you want to step up to surround-view camera coverage or Super Cruise.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV?

This is a buyer-friendly moment if you are shopping the 2025 Equinox EV, with meaningful deal availability and a softer price trend than a year ago.

• Deal availability: 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,501 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,228, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV's resale value?

The current average of $27,250 sits slightly below last year's $29,995.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favor as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than someone who bought earlier. If you plan to keep the vehicle for a while, the current pricing can help offset some depreciation risk.

For a seller, the key takeaway is that the Equinox EV still has value support from its range and affordability story, but the recent drop shows it is not immune to broader EV pricing pressure. If you buy now, you are entering at a more favorable point than last year’s average.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV earns five-star ratings in its overall rating, frontal impact, side impact, and rollover protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with steering intervention, automatic high beams, and GM’s safety alert seat. Optional Active Safety Package 2 adds a surround-view camera system with rear pedestrian alerts, while Active Safety Package 3 adds a semi-automated parking system and Super Cruise.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• It combines affordable pricing with more than 300 miles of range, making it a strong value-focused EV.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $25,404, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $27,250 average.
• It uses the Equinox name to make the EV transition feel less daunting.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of price, inventory, and value, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front and you are comfortable giving up some of the current-year pricing context, the 2024 is the more budget-conscious path.
