How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 6.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,516 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns an 7.8/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

You get a right-sized midsize pickup with a powerful standard turbocharged engine, easy-to-use technology, and strong off-road capability. It is also positioned as a strong entry in a crowded segment, with a footprint that should fit in a garage and be easier to park in town.

The trade-offs are a lack of a long-bed option and questionable value for money, and the truck may also trigger sticker shock for some shoppers.

Good and great deals account for 36.7% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is presented as a straightforward, well-equipped midsize truck with a standard turbocharged engine and a simple lineup that should be easy to live with.

Its performance setup is described as strong and responsive, with minimal lag right off idle and a transmission that shifts quickly and smoothly. The truck’s easy-to-use technology also supports day-to-day ownership, and the standard package includes features that help reduce driver workload.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard.

Chevy’s Teen Driver technology is standard across all Colorado models, letting parents set speed and audio limits for other drivers based on the key being used.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Colorado’s poor fuel economy can add up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, verify maintenance records, and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used off pavement or for towing. Focus on tire wear, underbody condition, and signs of hard use, since those are the areas most likely to reveal how the truck was treated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: WT looks the most work-focused, while LT adds body-color exterior details and nicer wheels. Trail Boss adds a factory lift, 32-inch tires, skid plates, and black fender flares, while Z71 brings 32-inch tires, tow recovery hooks, and a more polished appearance. ZR2 sits at the top with distinctive wheels, a unique hood, and visible high-tech shocks, and the ZR2 Bison adds beadlock-capable wheels, a bed-mounted spare tire carrier, stamped steel bumpers, and extra underbody protection.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is optional on WT and LT, but standard on Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen, a digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in software, voice recognition, and Alexa Built-In connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The base WT with RWD is rated at 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. Adding 4WD drops those figures to 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined. The lifted ZR2 falls to 17 mpg across the board, and the Bison package drops to 16 mpg in all driving scenarios.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-oriented starting point if you want the Colorado’s core capability without paying for extra appearance or off-road hardware. It keeps the truck simple, but you give up the nicer exterior details and added equipment found higher up the range.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds body-color door handles and mirrors plus nicer wheels without jumping into the more expensive off-road-focused models.
• Trail Boss: This is the trim to choose if you want the strongest off-road setup for the money, with a factory lift, skid plates, and 32-inch tires.
• Z71: This is the step-up choice if you want a more polished look and solid off-road capability, with 32-inch tires, tow recovery hooks, and additional body-color elements.
• ZR2: This is the pick for maximum off-road hardware, with the most aggressive suspension and the most distinctive appearance; the Bison package pushes it even further with extra protection and trail-focused gear.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, and Teen Driver technology is standard on every Colorado.

That price movement suggests the Colorado has softened enough to help you buy more carefully today. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition rather than broad market momentum alone.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.93% compared with last year.
• It combines strong off-road capability with easy-to-use technology and a right-sized footprint.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,316, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $38,847 average.
• It emphasizes modern features and off-road capability in a more lifestyle-focused package.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the lineup simple with one powertrain, RWD or 4WD, and five trim levels.
• It adds small updates while staying mostly unchanged.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better all-around pick if you want the latest pricing context and strong capability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the same basic formula with minor updates.
