Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It brings Chevy SUV style into the electric landscape with a sportier look than its more affordable showroom stablemate, and it adds practical appeal with plenty of cargo space and available Super Cruise. The trade-offs are that it does not offer any clear advantages in range or interior space, and Apple CarPlay is not offered.

With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Blazer EV’s appeal comes from its practical electric-SUV packaging, flexible powertrain choices, and available Super Cruise. Its performance range spans from efficient single-motor setups to higher-output dual-motor versions, so you can choose the balance of range and punch that fits your needs.

The battery and charging setup also supports everyday use, with home charging and DC fast charging both built into the ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery, charging hardware, and software features are all working as intended before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where charging behavior, software operation, and battery condition matter. Focus on how the vehicle has been used, whether it charges normally at home and on fast chargers, and whether any warning lights or system glitches appear during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Blazer EV’s styling is a major draw, but the cabin also shows some hard plastic elements and minor assembly flaws, so inspect material quality closely. Base-trim equipment gaps matter here because the model’s appeal is tied to its design and tech presentation.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes single-motor and dual-motor setups with front-, rear-, and all-wheel-drive configurations, so confirm which layout you’re getting and whether it matches your range and traction priorities. Output varies widely across versions, from efficient lower-output models to much stronger high-performance variants.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, automatic high beams, and a safety alert seat. Super Cruise is available as an option, along with a semi-automated parking system.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument panel, native navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar remote monitoring and control, and Google Built-in. Apple CarPlay is not offered, so make sure you’re comfortable relying on the native interface.
• Range & charging: The Blazer EV uses an 85-kWh battery in some versions, and DC fast charging can add up to 78 miles in 10 minutes, according to Chevy. Home charging is supported at 11.5 kW, so verify that the charging equipment and port operation are in good shape.
• Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health information if available, and pay attention to how the vehicle has been charged over time. A used EV that has spent most of its life on normal home charging is generally easier to trust than one that has relied heavily on frequent DC fast charging, and you should also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, RS, RS, SS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value-oriented starting point, and it’s the trim to focus on if you want the Blazer EV’s style and core EV capability without paying for the higher-end performance and appearance upgrades. It suits shoppers who want the most accessible path into the lineup.
• RS: This trim adds the sportier personality that defines the Blazer EV, and it’s the better choice if you want the model’s more eye-catching look and a richer feature set. It’s the best-value pick for most shoppers who want the Blazer EV’s character without jumping all the way to the top performance model.
• RS: This version is the one to consider if you want the RS nameplate with the more powerful rear-drive setup and the longest range in the lineup. It’s the right fit if efficiency and stronger performance matter more than sticking with the lower-priced configurations.
• SS: This is the high-performance choice, with the most aggressive powertrain and the quickest acceleration in the lineup. It’s for you if you want the Blazer EV at its most powerful and are willing to pay for that extra capability.

The safety package includes standard driver-assistance features, while Super Cruise is available as an option.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,589 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,252, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV's resale value?

The current average of $31,258 sits slightly below last year's $37,936.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, the current discount means your entry price is lower, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV earns five-star ratings in all crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, automatic high beams, and a safety alert seat. Super Cruise is available as an option and adds hands-free highway driving capability, along with a semi-automated parking system.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds more powertrain flexibility, including multiple motor and drive-layout choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,436, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,258 average.
• It stands out as Chevrolet’s first electric SUV with distinctive styling and available Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year market conditions and more powertrain flexibility, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you the Blazer EV’s core style and tech appeal.
