Used 2025 BMW i4 for Sale near Pennsylvania

How much does the 2025 BMW i4 cost?

Prices have softened 15.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 756 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW i4 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 BMW i4 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

The i4 stands out as an upscale electric car with a distinctive four-door sportback shape, and it still gives you surprising utility thanks to its rear hatch. It also offers room for four adults, though that space is snug, and the back seat can feel cramped. For you, that means the i4 makes the most sense if you want an EV that feels more special than purely practical.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarizing, and entry and exit can be difficult. Even so, the car’s fun-to-drive character and impressive technology help offset those compromises.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 BMW i4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 i4 is described as having top-notch reliability, and the expert evaluation also calls out its strong overall appeal as a well-executed EV. The performance write-up emphasizes that the single-motor setup is the most efficient version and still delivers traditional rear-wheel-drive dynamics, while the tech evaluation highlights BMW’s excellent voice assistant and the new iDrive 8.5 system.

BMW also adds Plug & Charge convenience, which makes public charging simpler because you can plug in and let billing happen automatically through supported providers. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core EV hardware and more about making sure the car’s condition, charging behavior, and software features have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW i4?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with multiple option packages. Focus on cabin condition, charging-port use, wheel and tire wear, and whether the car’s software and driver-assistance features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The i4 is offered as a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive eDrive40, a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive xDrive40, and the M50 performance-tuned dual-motor AWD. The eDrive40 is the most efficient and longest-range version, while the dual-motor models add speed and AWD traction. If you want the best-value balance of range, efficiency, and everyday usability, the eDrive40 is the one to focus on.
• Powertrain: The single-motor setup is the least powerful version, but it is also the most efficient and delivers traditional rear-wheel-drive dynamics. The dual-motor xDrive40 and M50 add AWD traction and quicker acceleration, so you should choose based on whether you value efficiency or stronger performance.
• Safety package: Every i4 gets Active Driving Assistant, which includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, and BMW Assist eCall are standard too. The Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Active Driving Assistant Pro and Extended Traffic Jam Assistant.
• Infotainment: The 2025 i4 uses a 12.3-inch driver display paired with a 14.9-inch touchscreen, and it upgrades to iDrive 8.5 with Quick Select. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system also adds Augmented View and Plug & Charge convenience.
• Range & charging: With the standard 18-inch wheels, the eDrive40 is rated at 318 miles of range and 30 kWh/100 miles. With the M Sport Package’s 19-inch wheels, range drops to 295 miles and consumption rises to 32 kWh/100 miles. DC fast charging took 30 minutes to reach an 80% charge in testing.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, review charging habits, and confirm whether the car has mostly been charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains so you know what protection you still have.

Which 2025 BMW i4 trim should I buy?

The 2025 BMW i4 is offered in 4 trim levels: eDrive40, xDrive40, M50, and eDrive35.

Here's the short version:

• eDrive40: This is the best-value choice if you want the i4’s strongest mix of efficiency, range, and rear-wheel-drive character. It’s the least powerful version, but it’s also the most efficient and the one the expert evaluation says still feels plenty quick for everyday driving.
• xDrive40: Choose this if you want the added traction and stronger all-weather confidence of dual-motor AWD. It makes sense if you care more about grip and performance than maximum efficiency.
• M50: This is the performance-tuned dual-motor AWD model, so it’s the right pick if you want the most aggressive version of the i4. It sits at the top of the lineup and is the one to consider if driving excitement matters most.
• eDrive35: This trim is mentioned as a previously available lower-power RWD model, but it is no longer offered.

The Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Active Driving Assistant Pro and Extended Traffic Jam Assistant, so if you want the most advanced driver-assistance setup, look for that package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW i4?

The market looks selective but workable, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 756 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,896, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW i4's resale value?

The current average of $47,111 sits slightly below last year's $55,991.

That price movement suggests the i4 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you shop near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period.

The model’s strong owner satisfaction and upscale EV appeal should help keep demand healthy among shoppers who want a premium electric sportback. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 BMW i4 safe?

The 2025 BMW i4’s crash-test ratings weren’t available at the time of publication.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW equips every i4 with Active Driving Assistant, which includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, and BMW Assist eCall are standard as well.

If you want more capability, the Driving Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, and the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Active Driving Assistant Pro plus Extended Traffic Jam Assistant. That package brings lane-centering assist, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, and emergency stop assist, while the hands-free traffic-jam feature works on limited-access highways at speeds under 40 mph.

One caveat from testing is that some driver aids can misread pavement scars or parked cars, so you should treat the system as a helper rather than something to rely on blindly.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW i4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model brings subtle design updates, a new infotainment system, and Plug & Charge convenience.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished version of the i4’s current formula, the 2025 model is the one to target because it combines updated tech, strong satisfaction, and a softer used-market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and focus on the lower end of the range, but the 2025’s mix of features and market conditions makes it the primary year to consider.
