How much does the 2025 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 14.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,033 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series stands out as a midsize luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a lot of technology and a noticeably larger footprint than before. The cabin reflects that growth with more passenger room, and the lineup gives you gas-powered options alongside fully electric versions if you want broader powertrain choice.

Inside, the curved display and modern interface give the cabin a high-tech feel, but the system can take time to learn and the lack of touch controls may frustrate you. The car’s main tradeoff is that its trunk is smaller than before, so the added size does not translate into more cargo space. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series is presented as a well-equipped luxury sedan with a broad set of active-safety features and a modern cabin. Its appeal comes from the combination of technology, roomier packaging, and a lineup that covers both traditional gas power and electric options.

For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is that the car’s complexity can make upkeep and feature familiarity more demanding than a simpler sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s accident and service records before you commit. Put the inspection focus on the electronics, infotainment usability, and any option-package features you care about most. You should also check the cabin, cargo area, and overall condition carefully, since the model’s strengths are tied closely to how well it has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,033 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,545, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $47,545 sits slightly below last year's $55,395.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. If you keep the car clean, well maintained, and properly documented, you give yourself the best chance of protecting value in a softer pricing environment.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.17% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $42,889, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $47,545 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, quietness, and easy daily driving.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $58,250, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $47,545 average.
• It adds a more balanced mix of comfort, technology, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best primary path if you want the newer design, strong inventory, and a softer used-market price than last year. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if comfort matters more than the latest styling and tech.
