How much does the 2025 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 8.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,170 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and pricing.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi Q5 earns an expert rating of 7.2/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Q5’s redesign brings Audi’s current design language and tech suite, and it’s aimed at buyers who want a refined, user-friendly luxury SUV without a steep learning curve. It also stands out for being comfortable and offering standard all-wheel drive.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarizing, the transmission can be irritating, and the base price is high. That means you’re getting a thoughtful update that prioritizes familiarity and everyday ease more than flash.

Good and great deals account for 37.4% of listings, so you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is presented as a familiar, comfort-focused luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a premium-feeling interior, which supports the case for everyday dependability. Its redesign also keeps the formula centered on usability rather than complexity for complexity’s sake.

The performance notes point to a standard turbocharged four-cylinder, Quattro all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Audi also says the Q5 carries a four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty and equivalent powertrain coverage, which helps with early ownership confidence.

Audi’s cost-effectiveness notes also mention that the Q5 makes up for its high price with lots of standard content, a premium-feeling interior and chassis tuning, and well-executed tech. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a high-priced luxury SUV can still be costly to own if repairs or electronics issues arise outside warranty coverage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the trim and equipment you want. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful here because the Q5’s appeal depends heavily on condition, technology, and how well the drivetrain and electronics have been maintained.

Focus on whether the cabin, screens, and driver-assistance features all work as intended, and make sure the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim level advertised.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige are the trim levels. The base Premium skips LED Headlights Plus, while Premium Plus and Prestige add programmable OLED taillights. If you want the most upscale lighting and more available equipment, the higher trims are the ones to target.
• Powertrain: The base Q5 uses a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive. Audi also offers an SQ5 with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, but that is a separate performance grade.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, active front assist with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and exit alert. Premium Plus adds a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise assist.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the top Prestige trim adds a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: Audi estimates 25 mpg combined for the Q5, including 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2025 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q5 experience with standard all-wheel drive, the turbocharged four-cylinder, and the full infotainment setup. It makes sense if you want the Q5’s comfort and tech without stretching for extras.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment like the 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise assist, four USB-C ports, and the 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. If you want the most balanced mix of features and value, this is the one to target.
• Prestige: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale Q5 experience, including the passenger touchscreen and available air suspension. It suits you best if you care most about luxury features and are willing to pay for them.

Premium Plus and Prestige also get programmable OLED taillights, while the base Premium does not.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi Q5?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you have room to shop, but the best listings may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,639, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $42,639 sits slightly below last year's $46,554.

That price drop suggests the Q5 has softened in the used market, which can help you buy more affordably now. If you sell later, you may face more competition from similarly equipped listings unless demand tightens.

For a future seller, the key is to preserve condition and documentation so your Q5 stands out in a market where pricing has already moved down. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than higher-mileage or lightly equipped ones.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2025 Audi Q5 earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, active front assist with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and exit alert.

Premium Plus models add a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise assist, which gives you a more advanced safety and convenience package than the base trim. The redesigned model was just reaching showrooms at press time, so crash-test ratings were not available.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.41% compared with last year.
• It brings Audi’s current design language and tech suite to the Q5 lineup.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a third-generation update with even more screen-focused tech.

The bottom line: If you want the newer redesign and can find a well-priced example, the 2025 is the better path. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softened market makes it worth shopping aggressively for a clean, well-equipped 2025 rather than paying up for a newer model.
