You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s service records before you buy. Focus on overall wear, feature operation, and whether the cabin and drivetrain match the premium condition you expect.

What is the 2024 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $38,681 sits slightly below last year's $42,111.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to create a better entry point for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong condition and clean history should matter even more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,701, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $38,681 average.
• It offers a plug-in hybrid setup with strong appeal for buyers who want electric-only driving flexibility.

The bottom line: If you want the broader 2024 XC60 lineup, current pricing softness, and strong inventory quality, the 2024 is the better primary target. If your top priority is spending less up front and you like the plug-in hybrid angle, the 2023 is the smarter secondary path.
