How much does the 2024 Volvo S60 cost?

Prices are up 2.45% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 665 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Volvo S60 a good car?

The 2024 Volvo S60 stands out as a compact luxury sedan that leans hard into Volvo’s core strengths: safety, comfort, and a distinctly Scandinavian sense of style. It has long been positioned as an alternative to the usual German rivals, and this generation continues that role with a modern design, high-quality materials, and a cabin that emphasizes calm, understated luxury.

Standard equipment is generous, with a panoramic moonroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen handling media and climate functions. The seats remain a major part of the appeal, and the available Contour seats are a notable highlight.

For shoppers who want a premium sedan that feels thoughtfully designed, well equipped, and safety-focused without losing its distinctive character, the S60 fits that brief well. 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volvo S60 reliable?

The 2024 Volvo S60 emphasizes safety, comfort, and everyday usability rather than outright sportiness. Volvo’s City Safety collision avoidance system comes standard, and the S60 also earned IIHS Top Safety Pick+ recognition in 2021 and 2022.

The cabin and equipment list suggest a car built to feel premium and easy to live with, especially if you value a calm driving experience and strong standard features. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk as a used buyer is less about the car’s concept and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained properly and shows no signs of neglect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report so you can confirm the car’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment you’ll want to verify is working correctly. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and how well the electronics and comfort features operate, since those are central to the S60’s appeal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volvo S60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market: there’s enough inventory to compare options, but the best examples can still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 665 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.45% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 90.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,941, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $30,796 sits slightly above last year's $30,060.

That upward move suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A stronger current price can help support your resale position, especially if your car is well maintained and presents cleanly. If you buy carefully and keep the car in good condition, you should be in a decent position when it’s time to trade or sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.45% year-over-year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is a strong choice if you want the streamlined, safety-focused version of the S60 with solid inventory and a premium feel. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2024 makes sense when you want a newer example with a healthy supply of clean listings and a market that still supports the car’s value.
