Used 2024 Toyota Sienna for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2024 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 2.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,490 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Toyota Sienna earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The Sienna’s appeal is rooted in its family-hauler mission: it offers three rows of seating, power sliding doors, a standard hybrid setup, and plenty of safety features. It is also described as comfy, spacious in the third row, and a strong value, which fits well if you want practicality without moving to an SUV.

The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and the technology is looking a bit outdated. That means you should expect efficiency and usefulness first, not a particularly engaging drive.

With 40.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sienna’s reliability case is supported by its straightforward hybrid setup and its reputation for being a practical, family-focused vehicle. The expert notes also emphasize that it is efficient, comfortable, and built around everyday usefulness rather than complexity for its own sake.

Its hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors, and the result is described as smooth even if it is not quick. Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, which is a nice ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with a vehicle that can feel slow and dated if you expect a more modern driving experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has higher mileage or visible wear from family use. Focus on cabin condition, seat operation, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Available in LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited and Platinum trim levels, the Sienna ranges from practical to more upscale. The base setup includes cloth seats, three-zone climate control, and room for eight, while upper trims add features like Bi-LED projector headlamps, a built-in vacuum cleaner, and more premium cabin touches. The XSE with the optional Premium package adds captain’s chairs, heated and cooled leather-trimmed front seats, and a leather-trimmed power steering wheel with ADAS controls.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna uses a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, producing 245 horsepower. Front-wheel-drive models are the efficiency focus, while AWD versions add a rear electric motor and a bit more traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The lane-keeping assist can feel a little side-to-side in use.
• Infotainment: You get a nine-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a standard Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM satellite radio. The system is older, and the backup camera image is grainy, so screen quality is worth checking in person.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid powertrain gets an EPA rating of 36 miles per gallon in front-wheel-drive models, with AWD models rated a bit lower.

Which 2024 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the Sienna’s core strengths without pushing the price up. If you want the hybrid efficiency, standard safety tech, and family-friendly packaging at the lowest entry cost, this is the trim to start with.
• XLE: This is the trim to consider if you want a more polished daily experience without jumping too far up the price ladder. It should suit you if you want a better-balanced mix of comfort and equipment than the base model.
• XSE: This is the sportier-looking choice, with a black metallic mesh grille, black heated side mirrors, and 20-inch dark wheels. If you want the most distinctive style and a more upscale-feeling cabin, this is the one to look at; with the optional Premium package, it becomes a particularly appealing step up.
• Woodland Edition: This is the trim for you if you want the most rugged-leaning version, with roof rails, crossbars, a tow hitch, and a little extra ground clearance. It is the best fit if you like the idea of a more adventure-ready Sienna.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more premium-feeling minivan without going all the way to the top. It should appeal if comfort and convenience matter more to you than chasing every available feature.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice for shoppers who want the most equipment and the most upscale presentation. If you want the most fully loaded Sienna, this is the trim to target.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment, with solid inventory and a meaningful share of well-priced listings.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,490 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,946, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $44,290 sits slightly below last year's $45,375.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may slightly temper resale expectations later. Even so, the Sienna’s efficiency and family-friendly reputation should help it remain appealing to used shoppers.

Because the price trend is not steep, you are not looking at a vehicle that appears to be falling off a cliff in value. For a future seller, that usually means a more stable ownership picture than a model with a sharper drop.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the board and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking that can detect a pedestrian or cyclist, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is that lane-keeping assist can feel a bit side-to-side in use, and the IIHS front crash prevention result is only “Average,” even though crashworthiness and seat belt and child restraint systems are rated “Good.”

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines a standard hybrid powertrain with three rows, power sliding doors, and plenty of safety features.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,164, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $44,290 average.
• It offers strong practicality, fuel efficiency, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $45,748, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $44,290 average.
• It adds a quieter cabin, easier-to-use technology, and a more polished ride.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, inventory, and proven family usefulness, the 2024 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer-feeling experience and are willing to pay more.
