How much does the 2024 Subaru Forester cost?

Prices have softened 7.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,447 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2024 Subaru Forester a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is the user rating, and the 2024 Subaru Forester fits well if you want a practical compact SUV with standard all-wheel drive, strong visibility, a spacious interior, and a large cargo area. It is especially appealing if you value easy everyday use, family-friendly packaging, and a vehicle that leans more toward usefulness than flash. The market also shows 37.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Subaru Forester reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Forester’s appeal is built around durability, value, and all-weather confidence, with standard all-wheel drive and a reputation that supports long-term ownership. Its straightforward setup should help keep used-buyer risk manageable if you stay focused on maintenance history and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru Forester?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, since a clean record does not replace a careful inspection of the body, interior, tires, and service history. If possible, pay extra attention to how the CVT feels during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru Forester?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,447 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,589, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru Forester's resale value?

The current average of $28,589 sits slightly below last year's $30,756.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong demand for practical, all-wheel-drive SUVs should still support interest from used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Forester or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $26,586, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $28,589 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, safety, and all-weather usefulness.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $30,962, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $28,589 average.
• It adds more advanced tech and a quieter cabin.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and satisfaction. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want newer equipment and are willing to pay more.
