Is the 2024 Porsche Taycan a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Porsche Taycan earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as an electric car that still feels unmistakably Porsche, with sports car handling, braking, and performance, plus an 800-volt electrical architecture and fast charging that suits buyers who want an enthusiast-focused EV. Is the 2024 Porsche Taycan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Taycan’s appeal comes from its Porsche-first engineering, with performance, handling, and braking prioritized over efficiency alone. Its carryover status for 2024 suggests you’re shopping a familiar formula rather than a major redesign, which can help reduce uncertainty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its range and premium positioning may make it less forgiving if you need a do-everything EV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm the car’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you want to check charging behavior, brake condition, suspension feel, and overall wear. Focus on condition details that matter most in a performance EV, including tire wear, interior controls, and evidence of careful ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Porsche Taycan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 528 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $89,885, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $89,885 sits slightly below last year's $96,103.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also shape future resale expectations. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition, since both will matter when it’s time to re-enter the market. Strong demand for Porsche-branded performance EVs can still support value, especially when the car is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $77,674, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $89,885 average.
• It offers Porsche performance character with more versatility and affordability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal share, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you’re comfortable giving up some of the current year’s market positioning.
