Used 2024 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 3.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,759 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability for shoppers.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

You’re looking at a small crossover that blends style, refinement, safety, and rewarding driving dynamics. It’s also described as fun to drive and stylish, with standard all-wheel drive and an available turbocharged engine if you want more power and performance.

The trade-offs are familiar for this segment: rear-seat room and cargo space are tight, and the turbocharged version is noted for poor fuel economy.

With 39.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s reliability case is supported by its reputation for refinement, its standard all-wheel drive, and its broad set of driver-assistance features. The expert evaluation also points to a well-rounded small crossover that feels polished and easy to live with.

Its powertrain is described as smooth and responsive, with the turbocharged version delivering power in a controlled, gradual way rather than feeling abrupt. The standard six-speed automatic shifts cleanly, and the vehicle is presented as competent and composed in everyday driving.

For ownership, the main long-term risk for used buyers is that the tight rear seat, limited cargo space, and turbo fuel economy may matter more as your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the features you want are present on the specific trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans eight versions, with the 2.5 S models emphasizing the standard 191-horsepower engine and the 2.5 Turbo models adding up to 250 hp. The cabin is described as stylish and refined, but the base setup is still the one to compare carefully against higher trims if you want more upscale equipment.
• Powertrain: The standard 191-horsepower four-cylinder is the better pick if you care about fuel economy, while the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the choice for more power and performance. The turbo version is also called out for poor fuel economy.
• Safety package: Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat alert, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Adaptive headlights arrive higher in the lineup, while the most expensive Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Turbocharged versions get a 10.25-inch infotainment display, while other models use an 8.8-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the larger screen adds touchscreen functionality with those smartphone-mirroring platforms. USB-C ports are new this year, and more expensive versions add a wireless smartphone charger and Bose premium audio.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard 191-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the better choice if fuel economy matters, while the turbocharged engine is the one to avoid if you want to spend less on gas.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 8 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select Sport, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 Carbon Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S: This is the trim to start with if you want the CX-30’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard 191-horsepower engine, standard all-wheel drive, and the model’s strong safety foundation, making it the value-focused choice for shoppers who care more about the overall package than extra luxury features.
• 2.5 S Select Sport: This is the first step up if you want a little more equipment without jumping into turbo pricing. It should appeal to you if you want a better-balanced daily driver and are willing to pay a bit more for added convenience.
• 2.5 S Preferred: This trim makes sense if you want a more polished feel while staying with the standard engine. It’s a good middle ground for buyers who want comfort and refinement without moving into the pricier performance-oriented models.
• 2.5 S Carbon Edition: Choose this if you want a more distinctive look and a more expressive personality. It’s best for shoppers who care about style as much as substance.
• 2.5 S Premium: This is the better pick if you want more upscale features and a more complete ownership experience. It’s the trim to consider if you want the CX-30 to feel closer to a premium small SUV.
• 2.5 Carbon Turbo: This is the best-value trim for buyers who want the turbocharged engine’s extra power and the more upscale vibe without going all the way to the top. It’s the sweet spot if you want performance and style together.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium: Step here if you want the turbo engine plus a richer feature set. It suits you if you’re willing to spend more for a more luxurious daily drive.
• 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the fullest safety and convenience package, including the most advanced driver-assistance and parking features. It’s the one to buy if you want the most complete CX-30 experience.

The safety package expands as you move up the trim ladder, with adaptive headlights and the most advanced parking and driving-assist features reserved for higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

The market looks moderately favorable for selective buyers right now.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,759 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,221, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $23,168 sits slightly below last year's $24,050.

That price movement suggests the CX-30 has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive when it’s time to list.

Even so, the model’s strong appeal, safety reputation, and broad feature set should help it stay attractive to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment except rollover resistance, where it gets a four-star rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat alert, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support with lane-centering assist.

One caveat is that the automatic curve speed reduction technology is described as too aggressive.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds new Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trims, USB-C charging ports, and an available larger infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,323, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $23,168 average.
• It offers a classy interior and enjoyable driving dynamics.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the newer features, stronger market value, and broader shopping inventory. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2023 can still make sense, but you’re paying more on average for an older model year.
