Is the 2024 Lexus LX a good car?

The 2024 Lexus LX stands out as a full-size body-on-frame SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with a luxury-first mission. It comes from the fourth generation, which is described as the most luxurious, most rugged, and most advanced version of the LX. That combination is backed by standard four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, hill-descent control, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor, along with an adjustable suspension and Active Height Control. It also has a reputation for smooth and quiet on-road manners, which helps make its capability feel more polished than purely utilitarian.

For you, that means the LX makes the most sense if you want a luxury SUV that can handle rough terrain without feeling crude in everyday driving. The cabin is loaded with upscale and practical features, including a leather-trimmed interior, quad-zone climate control, a power moonroof, a power rear liftgate, and Lexus Safety System+ 2.5. The infotainment setup includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus three front screens, including a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.

35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus LX reliable?

The 2024 Lexus LX has a reputation for real capability and a strong feature set, and it is described as smooth and quiet on the road. It also comes from a generation that is presented as the most advanced version of the LX, with a long list of standard hardware and comfort features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the current generation has faced engine-related reliability concerns in 2022 to 2024 models, so you should be especially careful about maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus LX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you are seriously considering, especially if you are comparing multiple examples at similar prices. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on mechanical condition, signs of off-road use, and whether the luxury features and electronics work as intended. Because this SUV is expensive and complex, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus LX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 198 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $89,379, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus LX's resale value?

The current average of $89,379 sits slightly below last year's $97,260.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. If you buy well now and keep the SUV in strong condition, you should have a solid foundation for future resale. The LX's premium positioning and limited inventory can help support value, but condition and maintenance history will matter a lot when you eventually sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus LX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.10% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right path if you want the LX's luxury-and-off-road formula with a softer price than last year and a decent pool of clean listings to choose from. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a strong balance of availability, condition, and market softness.
