Is the 2024 Lexus LX a good car?

The 2024 Lexus LX stands out as a full-size body-on-frame SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with a luxury-first mission. It has a smooth and quiet on-road manner, and it is aimed at buyers who want rugged ability without giving up refinement.

For 2024, its appeal is rooted in standard equipment and capability: full-time four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, hill-descent control, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor. You also get a leather-trimmed interior, a power moonroof, a power rear liftgate, quad-zone climate control, and Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which makes it a strong fit if you want a large luxury SUV with genuine trail hardware.

The market shows 36.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus LX reliable?

The 2024 Lexus LX stands out as a full-size body-on-frame SUV with a reputation for real off-road capability and reliability. Lexus also pairs that reputation with a smooth and quiet on-road manner, which helps make the LX appealing if you want rugged ability without giving up refinement.

That said, you should still expect long-term ownership costs to reflect its luxury positioning and complex hardware, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus LX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and off-road equipment, since this SUV’s value depends on both luxury condition and capability features. Focus especially on signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership, because a premium SUV like this can be costly to refresh if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus LX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 211 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $91,019, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus LX's resale value?

The current average of $91,097 sits slightly below last year's $98,117.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled from a year ago, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to remain a strength, but not assume the vehicle will hold last year’s pricing level. If you buy well now, you improve your odds of limiting depreciation later.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus LX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right path if you want the LX’s blend of luxury, off-road hardware, and a softer market than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a strong mix of inventory, condition, and pricing momentum.
