Is the 2024 Lexus ES reliable?

The 2024 Lexus ES is described as a reliable, comfort-focused luxury sedan with a long-standing reputation for refinement. Its appeal centers on a calm driving experience, everyday usability, and a well-rounded ownership proposition rather than high-strung performance.

For used buyers, that kind of positioning usually points to lower long-term ownership stress if you keep up with routine maintenance and buy a clean example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus ES?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect comfort, since that is a core part of the ES ownership experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus ES?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,301 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.8% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2024 Lexus ES's resale value?

The current average of $41,825 sits slightly below last year's $41,933.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help you if you buy at the right price and hold the car for a while. For a future seller, steady pricing is a good sign because it points to predictable demand rather than sharp value swings. If you keep the car in strong condition and avoid overpaying now, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus ES or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right path if you want the current-year ES experience with stable pricing, strong inventory quality, and a comfort-first luxury sedan that fits everyday use. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2024 gives you a straightforward buy if you find a clean example at the right number.
