How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 13.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,126 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The expert review also highlights its unparalleled off-road chops, excellent infotainment, and improved tow rating.

The trade-offs are clear: it still rides poorly on pavement, and advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it a better fit if you want trail ability and personality more than everyday comfort.

With 38.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as rugged and capable, with feedback that points to dependable ownership for buyers who value its core mission. The expert review also emphasizes its durable, adventure-ready character and its ability to handle serious off-road use.

The 4xe’s plug-in hybrid setup adds fuel-saving capability, and the model’s broad powertrain lineup gives you options to match your needs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its specialized hardware and rough-road focus can make upkeep and daily livability more demanding than in a typical SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has seen trail use. Pay close attention to signs of underbody damage, suspension wear, tire condition, and any evidence of hard off-road driving.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Wrangler’s body-on-frame design, removable roof options, and door configurations are part of its appeal, but the base setup is still more stripped down than higher trims with more capability-focused equipment.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a plug-in hybrid version of that engine, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8, with the 4xe standing out for its all-electric torque and efficiency.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional; there is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air-friendly modern connectivity features through the updated system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe delivers 21 miles of all-electric range, and the broader lineup spans from efficiency-focused hybrid use to much thirstier V8 setups.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting point and plan to keep things simple.
• Sahara: Choose this if you want a more road-oriented setup than the trail-focused trims, while still keeping the Wrangler’s open-air character.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful capability gear like Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails.
• Rubicon: Pick this if you want the most serious off-road hardware, including the Rock-Trac transfer case and the most capability-focused setup in the lineup.

Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist remain optional on most trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,126 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,721, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,721 sits slightly below last year's $41,180.

That decline suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited than in a rising market. If you plan to sell later, the Wrangler’s value will likely depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well it has been maintained.

Strong demand for the Wrangler’s core strengths should still help it hold attention with used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, while lane-keeping assist and lane-follow are not available.

That means you should treat safety equipment as a trim-and-option issue rather than assuming every Wrangler is equally equipped. If safety is a top priority, focus closely on the exact build sheet before you buy.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,305, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $35,721 average.
• It emphasizes rugged body-on-frame capability and multiple powertrain choices.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,310, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $35,721 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus more trim breadth.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed version with stronger tech and safety updates, the 2024 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path, while the 2025 is worth a look if you want the latest updates and can find a similar price.
