How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 12.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,392 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The overview also points to its trail-ready character and added refinement, which broadens its appeal beyond pure off-road use.

The trade-offs are clear: it is still a poor ride on pavement, and advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it best for you if capability and character matter more than everyday comfort.

Good and great deals account for 34.5% of listings, which is a decent sign of market flexibility.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, rugged vehicle that many drivers feel confident living with over time. The review summary also emphasizes its off-road capability and rugged style, both of which tend to align with buyers who want something they can count on for adventure-focused use.

The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by highlighting the Wrangler’s solid, purpose-built character and its ability to handle rough terrain. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same rugged setup that makes it capable can also mean more compromise in everyday comfort and refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has seen trail use. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been modified or repaired after off-road damage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Willys trim adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails, while the Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 stand out visually with larger tires. Base trims can miss locking differentials and the most capable hardware, so you should compare equipment carefully.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, a plug-in hybrid version of that engine, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8. The 4xe stands out for its all-electric torque and efficiency, while the V6 also offers a manual transmission option.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims. There is no lane-keeping assist, lane-follow, or similar highway-assist feature.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air-style usability improvements through the updated system. Navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe offers 21 miles of all-electric range, and the broader lineup includes efficiency-focused plug-in hybrid capability alongside more traditional gas powertrains.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more capability equipment. It makes sense if you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting point, but you should compare it carefully against the better-equipped trims.
• Sahara: This is the more comfort-oriented choice if you want Wrangler style with a less hardcore setup. It suits you if you want the look and open-air experience without jumping straight to the most trail-focused hardware.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim. It adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails, giving you a strong capability upgrade without paying for the full Rubicon.
• Rubicon: This is the trim for you if off-road capability is the priority. It gets the Rock-Trac transfer case and the most serious trail-focused hardware in the lineup.

Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist remain optional on most trims, while the High Altitude and 392 models get more standard driver-assistance coverage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,392 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,329, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,329 sits slightly below last year's $41,708.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Wranglers with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, though they are standard on the High Altitude and 392 models.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the Wrangler still lacks lane-keeping assist, lane-follow, and similar highway-assist features. That means you should treat safety equipment as a trim-by-trim shopping point rather than assuming it comes on every version.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds updated technology, safety, and refinement while keeping the Wrangler’s rugged character.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,712, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,329 average.
• It emphasizes body-on-frame toughness and strong off-road ability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,624, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,329 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Wrangler with improved tech and refinement, the 2024 is the better target. If price matters most, the 2023 and 2025 both offer lower average prices, so you can shop those years if you are willing to trade a bit of freshness for savings.

How does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler compare to the 2024 Ford Bronco?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2024 Jeep Wrangler:

• Pros: Unparalleled off-road chops, Excellent infotainment, Improved tow rating.
• Cons: Poor ride quality on pavement, Advanced safety features are not standard, Low safety scores.

2024 Ford Bronco:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Comfortable, Plenty of cargo space.
• Cons: Poor fuel economy, No hybrid or plug-in hybrid option, Needs a cloth seat option.

Our experts score the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 7.8/10 and the 2024 Ford Bronco 6.8/10. The Wrangler is the stronger pick if you care most about off-road ability and infotainment. The Bronco is easier to live with on pavement, but it gives up the Wrangler’s standout capability and upgraded tow rating.
