Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the overview shows why: you get Jeep capability, premium features, and a three-row layout in one package. It also gives you a wide trim spread, so you can shop from more basic versions to more luxurious ones depending on your budget and needs. If you want a family SUV that can still feel upscale and keep Jeep’s off-road identity, this model year fits that brief well. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around a familiar formula rather than a risky experiment: Jeep’s three-row Grand Cherokee L combines capability, comfort, and technology in a mainstream family-SUV format. Its broad trim range means your ownership experience will depend heavily on how the vehicle was equipped and maintained. For used buyers, that makes condition and service history especially important because the long-term experience can vary with trim and options.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report to confirm the vehicle’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has higher-end equipment or four-wheel-drive hardware, so you can check for wear, warning lights, and any signs of neglected maintenance. Focus on overall condition, because the model’s appeal depends a lot on how well the cabin, technology, and drivetrain have been cared for.

What is the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $33,838 sits slightly below last year's $34,529.

That decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the vehicle holds demand. A model with broad appeal, strong equipment, and a premium image can still support value over time, especially if you choose a well-kept example. If you buy smart and maintain it carefully, you can improve your odds of getting a stronger return later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,830, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $33,838 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with strong ride quality and premium materials.

The 2024 is the better all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in good condition and can live with its older-market pricing and tradeoffs.
