You should still run a history report to confirm the vehicle’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s description. Focus on overall condition, since the model’s appeal depends heavily on how well its features and equipment have been cared for.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,961, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,105 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with premium materials and strong ride quality.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing, and clean listings, the 2024 is the better all-around choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Grand Cherokee L’s core three-row appeal.
