How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 7,851 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for shoppers who want a well-rounded compact SUV. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its great features, sleek design, value for money, spacious interior, and modern technology. The Tucson’s overview also fits that feedback: it aims to cover the broad mix of qualities many small-SUV shoppers want, rather than chasing one narrow specialty.

The trade-offs are real, though. The expert notes say the infotainment system can be frustrating, and the powertrain is disappointing in some respects.

You should think of it as a practical, spacious, stylish compact SUV for everyday use, not a performance-first choice. Good and great deals account for 38.1% of listings, so there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because they value its features, design, and overall value. The expert evaluation also describes the Tucson as a well-rounded SUV with a comfortable cabin and helpful technology, which supports the sense that it is easy to count on day to day.

Hyundai’s powertrain warranty is also a useful ownership advantage for long-term peace of mind. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior wear, infotainment operation, and how the powertrain feels under load. It also makes sense to confirm that the trim’s equipment matches what you expect, since the Tucson’s feature content changes a lot as you move up the lineup.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The SEL adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and two more USB ports. The XRT adds unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, functional roof racks, and features from the SEL Convenience Package. The Limited adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded Bose premium stereo system, and memory settings for the driver’s seat.
• Powertrain: The Tucson uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The expert notes say this is the only non-hybrid powertrain offered, and it can feel underwhelming when you need quick passing power.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Limited adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. SEL Convenience Package, XRT, and Limited trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel, but those versions lose wireless phone connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model returns 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive model returns 23 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value play if you want the Tucson’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the standard safety suite and useful everyday equipment. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the upscale cabin upgrades.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and more USB ports. If you want a more polished daily driver without jumping to the pricier upper trims, this is the one to focus on.
• XRT: This trim is for you if you want the Tucson’s more rugged-looking appearance and the added convenience-package equipment as standard. It brings unique styling touches, synthetic leather upholstery, and the larger touchscreen and digital gauge cluster, but it also gives up wireless phone connectivity on the upgraded system.
• Limited: This is the most luxurious Tucson in the lineup, with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio, and memory seating. It also adds the most advanced parking and blind-spot camera features, so it suits you best if comfort and convenience matter more than price.

The Limited also gets the extra parking and blind-spot camera features, while the standard safety suite is already broad across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,851 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,539, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $23,553 sits slightly above last year's $23,502.

That small increase suggests the Tucson has held its value fairly well in the near term. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than a model that is sliding quickly in price.

The year-round range is also fairly tight, which can support resale confidence if your vehicle is in good condition and equipped with desirable features. A stable market usually rewards clean history, strong maintenance, and trims that buyers recognize as well equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns a Good overall IIHS result in most phases of crash testing, with Acceptable headlights and a Superior crash-prevention score. It also earned five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite is extensive and includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.

The main caveat is that the headlights are not top-rated by IIHS, so if you do a lot of night driving, that is worth keeping in mind.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert verdict says the Tucson is a well-rounded small SUV and a good value, with a comfortable and spacious cabin, impressive tech and safety features, and an attractive price tag.

The bottom line: The 2024 Tucson is the right pick if you want a balanced compact SUV with strong safety, good space, and a stable used-car market. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2024’s combination of steady pricing, broad equipment, and strong owner satisfaction makes it an easy year to recommend.
