How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

With 7,784 listings available, you have a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for used-SUV shoppers. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its great features, sleek design, value for money, spacious interior, and modern technology. The Tucson’s overview also fits that feedback: it aims to be a well-rounded compact SUV with good passenger and cargo space, refined cabin styling, and a practical mix of everyday usefulness.

The trade-offs are worth noting, though. The expert review calls out an infotainment system that can be frustrating and a powertrain that is disappointing in some respects, even if the turbocharged setup is energetic in the broader ownership summary.

With 39.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market availability if you want to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle that feels like a good-value, trouble-free choice for many shoppers, with praise centered on its features, design, and everyday usefulness. The expert review also describes the Tucson as well-rounded and backed by a strong warranty, which supports the case for dependable ownership.

Hyundai’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty adds another layer of confidence for long-term use, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for years. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about a single glaring flaw and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well and still feels solid in daily use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any Tucson you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin controls, infotainment behavior, and overall condition, since the model’s equipment-heavy setup makes it important to confirm that everything works as intended. It also makes sense to focus on trim-specific features so you know whether the vehicle actually has the equipment you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The SEL adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and two more USB ports. The SEL Convenience Package adds synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a fully digital instrument panel, and a larger touchscreen with navigation. The XRT adds unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, functional roof racks, and features from the SEL Convenience Package. The Limited adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded Bose premium stereo system, and memory settings for the driver’s seat.
• Powertrain: The Tucson uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The expert review says this is the only non-hybrid powertrain offered and notes that it can feel underwhelming when merging or passing, even though the ride and handling are well balanced.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Limited adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Higher trims with the SEL Convenience Package, XRT, and Limited get a fully digital instrument panel and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, but they lose wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model returns 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive model returns 23 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a solid standard safety suite. If you want the lowest-cost way into the Tucson without giving up the core tech and safety features, this is the trim to start with.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and more USB ports. If you want a more comfortable daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the sweet spot.
• XRT: This trim leans into a more rugged look with black 19-inch wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, and functional roof racks, while also adding the SEL Convenience Package equipment. It makes sense if you want the extra style and convenience features together.
• Limited: This is the most luxurious choice, with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose premium stereo, memory settings, and extra parking and camera tech. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and the most advanced convenience features.

The Limited also adds the most advanced safety and parking features, including front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, Smart Park, and a blind-spot camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,784 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,540, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $23,489 sits slightly above last year's $23,360.

That small increase suggests the Tucson has held its value reasonably well rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that is neither overheated nor collapsing.

The steady pricing also means you may not get a dramatic windfall when you sell, but you’re less likely to be caught by a steep drop if you own the vehicle for a few years. Strong equipment, broad appeal, and a practical reputation should help keep buyer interest healthy.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns Good ratings in most phases of IIHS crash testing, and the 2023 model it carries over from was an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Limited trim adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.

The standard headlights earn an Acceptable IIHS score, which is the main caveat to keep in mind when you’re comparing safety equipment across trims. NHTSA testing so far includes five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert verdict says the Tucson is a well-rounded small SUV and a good value, with a comfortable and spacious cabin, impressive tech and safety features, and an attractive price tag.

The bottom line: If you want a used compact SUV that balances space, safety, comfort, and value, the 2024 Tucson is the right year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years, but the 2024’s stable pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and broad equipment list make it an easy one to recommend first.
