Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 5.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,848 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7.17/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2024 Honda Passport takes a straightforward approach in the midsize SUV class, leaning on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, standard all-wheel drive, and a comfortable ride. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical, spacious crossover that prioritizes everyday usability over flashy design.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not very fuel efficient, and pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, the Passport’s broad usefulness and standard capability make it appealing if you value confidence in changing weather and a roomy cabin more than maximum efficiency.

Good and great deals: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s appeal starts with a proven V6 powertrain and a simple, familiar layout that should age well for many used buyers. Its practical design, standard all-wheel drive, and comfortable ride all point toward a vehicle built for everyday dependability rather than complexity.

The expert review also describes the Passport as practical and reliable, with a well-known engine and easy-to-use technology. It is not the most cutting-edge SUV in the segment, but that simplicity can be a plus when you want fewer moving parts and a more straightforward ownership experience.

Honda’s maintenance coverage can also be a small ownership perk when you’re shopping newer used examples. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that fuel costs and higher starting prices can make it less economical to own than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, even when the accident-free share is high, because condition can vary widely from one listing to the next. Prioritize a close inspection of the tires, suspension, brakes, and interior wear, especially if the vehicle has seen frequent family use or road-trip duty.

Pay extra attention to how the infotainment system responds, whether the driver-assistance features work properly, and whether the cabin shows signs of heavy use. A thorough test drive should also confirm that the transmission shifts smoothly and that the ride feels composed over rough pavement.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The base EX-L includes leather seats, a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and all-wheel drive, while the TrailSport and Black Edition add roof rails and LED fog lights that the EX-L does not get.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with standard torque-vectoring all-wheel drive and a traction-management system with normal, snow, sand, and mud settings.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Those features are standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The Passport uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The Black Edition adds a 10-speaker audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the trim to start with if you want the best value, because it already includes leather seats, a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and standard all-wheel drive. It gives you the Passport’s core strengths without paying extra for the more specialized trims.
• TrailSport: Choose this one if you want the most rugged version of the Passport. It adds all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, and LED fog lights, and it is the trim that best matches the Passport’s adventure-focused personality.
• Black Edition: Pick this if you want the most upscale-feeling Passport and the upgraded 10-speaker audio system. It also gets the roof rails and LED fog lights, but it is best for shoppers who want a more premium presentation rather than the TrailSport’s rugged hardware.

Honda’s standard safety package is strong across the lineup, so you do not need to move up trims to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting huge discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,848 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,745, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $35,442 sits slightly below last year's $37,489.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy near the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure over your ownership period.

The Passport’s practical appeal, standard all-wheel drive, and roomy cabin should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a dependable two-row SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test from IIHS and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests. The NHTSA gives it five-star ratings overall, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That is a comprehensive standard safety suite, especially for a two-row SUV.

The main caveat is that the Passport’s crash-test results are not as strong as its standard equipment list suggests. If safety is a top priority, you should weigh those results alongside the Passport’s otherwise strong active-safety coverage.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport focused on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, and practical everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the Passport’s refreshed 2024 formula and you value standard all-wheel drive, a roomy cabin, and straightforward usability, this is the year to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024’s softer pricing and solid inventory make it a sensible place to shop.
