Used 2022 Honda Passport for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2022 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 7.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,875 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It stands out as a rugged-leaning two-row midsize SUV with a light restyle and a new TrailSport trim level. It is aimed at you if you want a comfortable, practical SUV with a tougher look, plenty of cargo space, and a fun-to-drive character.

The trade-offs are that its infotainment technology is outdated and its advanced safety features are unrefined. Even so, 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport is built around a proven V6 powertrain and a roomy, comfortable cabin, which supports its reputation as a straightforward daily driver. Its performance notes also point to a smooth engine and a well-matched nine-speed automatic, while the cost-effectiveness commentary highlights a generous equipment list and a strong value equation.

Honda also includes wireless smartphone charging as standard equipment, which adds a useful convenience perk. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the platform, infotainment, and driver-assist tech already feel dated, so you should expect age-related compromises rather than cutting-edge refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, because the Passport’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether the cabin, brakes, and electronics still feel fresh.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base EX-L brings leather seats and plenty of standard equipment, while the TrailSport adds a tougher look with unique wheels, roof rack, skid-plate styling, orange contrast stitching, amber ambient lighting, embroidered headrest emblems, and rubber floor mats. The Elite sits at the top with all the bells and whistles.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is limited to the EX-L, while TrailSport and Elite use all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat reminder, and a seatbelt reminder. The driver aids are comprehensive, but they are not especially refined.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio. TrailSport adds navigation, while Elite adds a 10-speaker premium sound system and HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 22 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 21 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. In testing, the TrailSport averaged 21.3 mpg.

Which 2022 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for extras you may not need. You still get leather seats, the V6 powertrain, and the standard tech and safety equipment.
• TrailSport: This is the trim to choose if you want the Passport’s tougher look and the most adventurous personality. It adds the TrailSport styling treatment, standard AWD, navigation, and unique interior and exterior details, making it the most distinctive middle ground.
• Elite: Choose this if you want the most upscale Passport experience, including the premium sound system and HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but the driver-assist features are less refined than many rivals.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,875 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.06% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,181, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $29,181 sits slightly below last year's $31,398.

That softer pricing suggests the Passport has already moved through some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if demand stays steady. Because the model still offers a strong mix of utility, comfort, and standard equipment, it should remain appealing to shoppers who want a practical two-row SUV.

The main drag on resale is that its infotainment and driver-assist tech feel dated compared with newer rivals. Even so, vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport safe?

The 2022 Honda Passport earns four-star ratings in frontal passenger protection and rollover resistance from NHTSA, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it an Acceptable rating for front-passenger protection in a small overlap collision.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat reminder, and a seatbelt reminder. The system is comprehensive, but the lane-departure warning and lane-centering assist can feel intrusive, and the adaptive cruise control is not especially smooth in traffic.

The safety takeaway is that the Passport gives you a broad set of standard driver aids, but you should not expect top-tier refinement or top crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a light restyle, a new TrailSport trim level, revised wheel designs, fresh paint colors, and new safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,381, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,181 average.
• It carries over largely unchanged while adding some additional features.

The bottom line: If you want the newer styling, TrailSport trim, and updated safety content, the 2022 is the better pick. If your priority is saving money and you can live without the refresh, the 2021 is the smarter value play.
