Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale nearAlexandria, VA

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 5.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,914 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable number of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Passport’s appeal comes from its straightforward, practical setup: a proven V6, easy-to-use technology, standard all-wheel drive, plenty of cargo space, and a comfortable ride. It is aimed at you if you want a spacious, safe, and reliable crossover SUV rather than flashy styling or oversized screens.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not very fuel efficient, and pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s reliability case is built around its proven V6 powertrain, simple controls, and practical design. The expert review also points to a well-behaved nine-speed automatic and a drivetrain that shifts unobtrusively, which supports the sense that this is a familiar, low-drama SUV to live with.

Honda also includes a broad standard safety suite, which adds to everyday confidence and reduces the sense that you need to move up the trim ladder for basic protection. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its higher fuel use can make it more expensive to run than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has been used for commuting, towing, or winter driving. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake wear, and signs of heavy use, since those details can matter more than mileage alone on a practical SUV like this.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is offered in three trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Every trim includes leather seats, a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and all-wheel drive, so the base EX-L is already well equipped. The TrailSport adds genuine all-terrain tires, roof rails, and LED fog lights, while the Black Edition also gets roof rails and LED fog lights.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for smooth, confident everyday driving, but fuel economy is not a strong point at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Those features are standard across the lineup, so you do not need to hunt for a higher trim to get them.
• Infotainment: The Passport uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The screen is smaller than many rivals’, and the Black Edition is the only trim mentioned with an upgraded 10-speaker audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the best-value choice if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying extra for appearance or off-road-oriented extras. You still get leather seats, a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and standard all-wheel drive, so it covers the essentials well.
• TrailSport: This is the trim to choose if you want the most rugged setup. It adds all-terrain tires, roof rails, LED fog lights, and an off-road-tuned suspension, making it the most capability-focused version in the lineup.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale-looking trim and adds roof rails, LED fog lights, and an upgraded 10-speaker audio system. It makes sense if you want the most premium-feeling Passport, but it is not the value pick.

Honda Sensing safety features are standard on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,914 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,741, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $35,257 sits slightly below last year's $37,116.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more modest. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

The Passport’s practical strengths still matter for resale because shoppers looking for a roomy, capable two-row SUV tend to value the same traits you do. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns Acceptable ratings in the passenger-side small overlap crash test and Marginal ratings in the updated side-impact crash tests from IIHS, and it earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal and rollover crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That gives you a broad set of driver-assistance features without needing to step up to a higher trim.

The main caveat is that the Passport’s crash-test results are not class-leading, so if top-tier test performance is your priority, you should pay close attention to the report details before buying.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport simple and practical, with standard all-wheel drive, a proven V6, easy-to-use technology, and a more adventure-focused TrailSport trim.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with the current-year market softness, the 2024 is the better path. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry price while still delivering the Passport’s core strengths.
