How much does the 2024 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 5,879 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the new look, interior design, and driving experience, and they also like the smooth manual shifting and great gas mileage. The car’s easy-to-use technology and excellent value for money broaden its appeal beyond pure enthusiasts.

The trade-offs are clear: all-wheel drive is not available, the brakes can’t withstand repeated hard use, and the driver assistance technology can be irritating. That fits the Civic Si’s use case as an engaging compact sedan for drivers who care about the journey as much as the destination.

Good and great deals account for 38.2% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for the driving experience and gas mileage. The expert evaluation also describes it as a car that works well as a daily driver, and the standard complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years and 24,000 miles adds some ownership reassurance.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s sporty hardware and braking setup may be more sensitive to hard use than a typical commuter sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Civic?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Focus on brake condition, tire wear, and signs that the car has been used in a way that matches its enthusiast-oriented character.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Civic Si stands apart with LED headlights, a gloss-black lip spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, 18-inch matte-black wheels, red interior accents, metal pedal covers, and an aluminum shift knob. The cabin is more expressive than the standard Civic, but the base setup still emphasizes simple, effective digital instrumentation and a touchscreen infotainment system.
• Powertrain: You get a high-output turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission, rev-matching, a helical limited-slip differential, and front-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for engagement, not all-weather traction.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and a rear seat reminder. The system can be irritating, and the lane-keeping and lane-centering functions deserve close attention on a test drive.
• Infotainment: Every car gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, text-messaging support, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, and HondaLink connected services. It lacks native navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says it should return 31 mpg combined, and the test route average was 29.5 mpg.

Which 2024 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Civic is offered in 1 trim level: Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

The Civic Si is the clear choice if you want the most engaging version of this model year, with the turbocharged engine, manual transmission, limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes, and sport-focused chassis tuning. It is the best-value pick if your priority is driving enjoyment and you can live with the trade-offs in ride noise and brake durability.

Honda Sensing is standard, but the driver-assistance tuning can be irritating, so make sure you test those systems before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,879 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,045, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $24,689 sits slightly below last year's $24,918.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A predictable price path can make it easier to estimate your trade-in or private-party value without worrying about sharp swings.

Because demand appears steady and the model has strong owner satisfaction, you should expect resale interest to remain healthy if the car is kept in good condition. Well-maintained examples with clean history reports should be easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic safe?

The 2024 Honda Civic earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a four-star rating for front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and a rear seat reminder system.

The caveat is that the system can be irritating in real-world use, especially the lane-keeping and lane-centering functions. If you’re sensitive to intrusive driver aids, this is worth evaluating carefully on your test drive.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a manual transmission, strong turbocharged performance, and easy-to-use tech in a focused enthusiast package.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $25,055, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $24,689 average.
• Honda broadens the gas-only lineup and adds Google Built-In.

The bottom line: If you want the more focused enthusiast version and prefer to keep your budget closer to the current market average, the 2024 is the better fit. If you want the newer model-year updates and don’t mind paying more, the 2025 is the cleaner alternative.
