How much does the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV cost?

Prices have softened 12.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 248 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV a good car?

Yes — the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Hummer EV SUV is positioned as an image vehicle that still brings real utility, with up to 81.8 cubic feet of cargo space and up to 314 miles of range in the reviewed SUV body style. It also stands out for its off-road ability and distinctive presence, which makes it a fit if you want an electric SUV that feels far less conventional than most.

The trade-offs are clear: it is inefficient, has poor visibility, and brings lots of tire and wind noise. Those compromises matter most if you want a quiet, easy-to-live-with daily driver rather than a vehicle with a strong personality.

29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Hummer EV SUV is described as a vehicle that requires you to accept its compromises, but it also comes across as a remarkable and impressive electric SUV when you do. Its performance and technology are major strengths, and the expert review also notes that electric vehicles generally require less maintenance than internal-combustion models.

The review also points out that EV ownership can still bring tire wear concerns, especially here because the Hummer uses large 35-inch mud-terrain tires on the test vehicle. If you buy used, long-term ownership risk is mostly about whether the vehicle has been maintained carefully and whether the tires, charging habits, and overall condition match the way it was driven.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a heavy, complex EV with a lot of specialized hardware. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, tire wear, and whether the vehicle’s technology and driver-assistance systems are working as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The reviewed SUV comes in 2X, 3X, and 3X Omega Limited Edition trim levels. The base 2X is the entry point, while the higher trims add more equipment and capability-focused content.
• Powertrain: The test vehicle uses a three-motor setup with up to 860 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque when using Watts to Freedom. The review also notes that the Hummer EV is heavy and can feel squirrelly under hard acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and a surround-view camera system. Super Cruise is also standard with a three-year subscription.
• Infotainment: You get a configurable 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and over-the-air updates keep the system current.
• Range & charging: The SUV can travel up to 314 miles on a battery charge. It is compatible with 300-kilowatt DC fast charging stations, and GMC says you can add 100 miles of range in as few as 14 minutes.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, review charging history, and confirm whether the vehicle was mostly charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. Also verify how much of the battery warranty remains so you know what protection you still have.

Which 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV trim should I buy?

The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV is offered in 3 trim levels: 2X, 3X, and 3X Omega Limited Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 2X: This is the entry trim, so it makes the most sense if you want the Hummer EV SUV experience at the lowest starting point and are comfortable giving up some of the higher-end equipment found above it.
• 3X: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest balance of capability and equipment, since the review vehicle’s standout hardware and technology are centered here.
• 3X Omega Limited Edition: Choose this if you want the most exclusive version of the lineup and are willing to pay for the top-spec presentation.

The standard safety package is broad across the lineup, and Super Cruise is included.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and price softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 248 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $67,220, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV's resale value?

The current average of $67,220 sits slightly below last year's $76,458.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure future resale if depreciation continues at the same pace. For a future seller, the key question is whether the vehicle’s distinctive appeal and limited supply can offset its high running costs and niche positioning.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV safe?

The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a comprehensive driver-assistance suite that includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and a surround-view camera system. Super Cruise is standard and includes a three-year subscription, giving you hands-free driving on approved roads.

The review also notes that the lane-keeping system can feel awkward in some situations, and the driver aids briefly stopped working during testing before returning after a restart. That means you should treat the safety tech as a major strength, but still verify that all systems operate properly on a used example.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert review highlights its up-to-314-mile range, strong off-road ability, and standout technology.

The bottom line: If you want the Hummer EV SUV’s distinctive mix of image, capability, and technology, the 2024 is the right year to target because pricing has eased and inventory is available. If you are more price-sensitive, focus on the lowest-priced listings and be especially selective about condition, charging history, and tire wear.
