Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a practical compact crossover with a roomy interior, modern tech, and updated standard safety equipment for this model year. It is especially appealing if you want an everyday SUV that balances space and usability without chasing class-leading cargo capacity or excitement. Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also suggests this is a more mature version of the third-generation Equinox, with the most troublesome years concentrated earlier in the generation. For used buyers, that usually means lower long-term ownership risk than you might face with an earlier example from the same family.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no prior collisions, title issues, or repeated repairs. Put the inspection focus on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could affect daily usability in a compact SUV. Since this model’s appeal is tied to practicality, make sure the cabin, cargo area, and safety equipment all match the seller’s description.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $22,770 sits slightly below last year's $23,833.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if market conditions stay similar. The Equinox’s practical cabin and broad appeal should still support demand, especially among shoppers who want a straightforward compact SUV. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in clean condition, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.46% compared with last year.
