The current average of $40,441 sits slightly below last year's $46,040.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the recent softening means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented over time. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of holding buyer interest later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.16% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to focus on. If your top priority is stretching your budget, you can also compare nearby years and look for the best-maintained example at the lowest asking price, especially if you’re willing to trade some feature freshness for savings.
