Is the 2024 BMW iX a good car?

That kind of feedback suggests you’re looking at a model that resonates well with drivers who have lived with it. With 35.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW iX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that usually means fewer surprises in day-to-day ownership if you choose a well-kept example. Still, you should focus on maintenance records and overall condition because long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the vehicle was treated.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW iX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the report carefully and confirm there are no gaps in service history or signs of prior damage. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. Focus on battery-related condition, charging behavior, and overall cosmetic wear so you can separate a clean example from one that only looks good online.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW iX?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,143 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,713, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW iX's resale value?

The current average of $47,713 sits slightly below last year's $52,365.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, the current softness may limit short-term upside, but it can also make the vehicle easier to move if you buy well. Strong pricing discipline now matters because your future resale will depend on how much room you leave between purchase price and market value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW iX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $46,651, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,713 average.
• It adds a more powerful M variant that broadens the iX’s performance appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of price movement, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the cleaner default choice. If your priority is saving a bit more upfront, the 2023 is the better value path.
